Inland Empire News www.abwa-ie.org Official Publication of American Business Women s Association Inland Empire Charter Chapter #6047 Editor: Kandi Jackson President s Message - Jan 2018 Happy 2018, I pray everyone had a wonderful Christmas with family and friends. Our Christmas was a very quiet with just family and a few friends. I flew my daughterin-law home for Christmas for her Christmas gift, however I think it was more of gift to us. She was here till January 2 nd My son Kyle is in Kuwait and most likely will be there till next Thanksgiving Candace is keeping herself busy with school and work, hoping to get into the RN program with Fall. We did not have a speaker last month; however, Faith came through with gifts and a fun game for everyone play. This month my friend Susie Mierzwik with LifeWave is our speaker. She is a retired educator whose experience ranges from teaching High school English to 20 years as a kindergarten teacher. She holds an MBA from Golden Gate University. Susie worked in corporate finance as well as maintaining her own tax practice for many years. I know you will enjoy her. Lifewave is an amazing product and yes, I am now using it. I have had a big problem sleeping and her patch has help so very much. In November our speaker was Teresa Craig who owns Bethel Estate Sale & Outlet in Redlands. I want to know who went to her store for the sales? is home recovering slowly. She will also be having to have Chemo so keep the prays coming for her and her family. Looks like our 1 st quarter will be a busy one with our wine tasting on March 4 th and our Fashion Show on March 24 th Tickets are on sell now. ADDRESS CORRECTION REQUESTED 2016-2017 VISION Take flight in the American Business Women s Association. Connect and ignite your dreams and show the world your brilliant colors. INVOCATION Lord, in the quiet of this hour, We come to Thee for wisdom and for power, To view Thy world through only loved -filled eyes, To grow in understanding, to be wise And sure to see Thy guiding light; and thus To know each other as Thou knowest us. BENEDICTION O Guiding Spirit, Guardian of our days, Be with us as we go our separate ways. Help us to feel those thoughts that lift and bless, To know a closer bond of friendliness; To see Thy beauty always every day, Translated into living this we pray. Amen
