From behind the wall to the open sea A 10 day pilgrimage to the Led jointly by Fr Kevin Scully, Fr Jeremy Harris & Fr Bertrand Olivier 26 January - 4 February, 2016 - The official and preferred pilgrimage partner for the Diocese of Jerusalem - www.lightline.org.uk

Following in the footsteps of Jesus Jesus led his people then and leads them now to the edges. This pilgrimage plans to celebrate the life of our Saviour, and the lives of his followers in the Holy Land today. We will go behind the wall of Bethlehem to see the lives of Christians there today and move to many sacred sites in the life of Jesus. It is hoped we can come away with a deeper understanding of the past and present in this fascinating land. The pilgrimage will be led by parish priests who have been to the Holy Land a number of times. They invite you to join them on this journey of worship and wonder in the land where Jesus walked. Lightline Pilgrimages is the official & preferred pilgrimage partner for The Anglican Diocese of Jerusalem. A contribution is made to the diocese on behalf of each and every pilgrim that travels with Lightline Pilgrimages.

On arrival we will be met and driven to Bethlehem and After arriving at our hotel in Manger Square, we will visit the Church of the Holy Nativity, celebrate the Eucharist before dining together in Bethlehem. Day 2, Wednesday 27 January BETHLEHEM After an early breakfast we begin exploring Bethlehem the places associated with the birth of Jesus and get a sense of the lives of modern-day Christians in Bethlehem. Visit sections of the huge 9-metre high separation wall and learn of the families it has divided. If permitted we will visit a refugee camp. Visit the places associated with the birth of Jesus. Visit the Shepherds Fields where we will celebrate Mass. We then continue to the Church of the Nativity and a tour of a charity project that Lightline supports and see the signs of hope. After a break for lunch visit Mount Zion to see the traditional site of the Room of the Last Supper, the beautiful Abbey of the Dormition, and the Church of St. Peter in Gallicantu, for a Eucharist.
