Remember, the Lord forgave you, so you must forgive others. Colossians 3: 13 NLT Pastor Darren Sarmiento What is so powerful about God s forgiveness is that no one asked God to do that. God did it out of His loving kindness, mercy and grace. I didn t ask Him to do that, did you ask Him? I would say probably not. I ve heard so often that it s hard for Christians to forgive people and I can relate to that very well. The Apostle Paul is sharing with believers that forgiveness is part of who we are and there is a way to be sure we can follow through with it. To forgive others is part of who Jesus is and that was the reason why He went to the cross. The gospel or good news was that God is showing His forgiveness towards us by giving us His Son to die on the cross. God took the initiative to forgive us and as I understand that, I am humbled the creator of heaven and earth did that for me. So, understand that only those who are humbled by the cross understands God s grace is His forgiveness to us. When we experience and appreciates the forgiveness of God through Christ, then we can forgive others no matter how much people have wronged us. It is part of our lifestyle as a Christian to forgive others. Forgiveness is hard yet possible. Thank the Father for His loving kindness and forgiveness to you, so in turn you can forgive others. MISSIONAL OPPORTUNITIES NAMB Missionary Spotlight: Pray that God would continue to push back the darkness throughout MetroWest Boston. Pray for a continued movement of God to produce life-giving churches throughout our region. International Mission Board Connecting in Prayer https://www.imb.org/pray/ *Lusaka, Zambia-(loo-SAH-kah) - Please pray for a tutoring program that some members of the Greater Lusaka Area Team have started along with International Baptist Church as they reach out to the community every Tuesday and Thursday. May the Lord grant wisdom to the teachers to minister to the many needs of the students. Pray also that the Lord will supply the necessary resources to accommodate the many varied reading levels. As the children take part in the chronological Bible storying, pray that they will develop a more accurate view of God; see, understand, and accept God s provision of salvation through Jesus Christ; and have a walk with him, bearing fruit in all that they do. May these children learn to read Scripture for themselves so that their walk with the Lord will be strengthened, and may their reading skills further equip them for careers where they can serve and glorify God. *Hindus of Karnataka State, India-(car-NAH-tuhkuh) - Many Karnataka churches havebeen conducting Bible schools and other children s programs during the summer holiday. Please pray that the children who participate will be introduced to Jesus Christ, the one true God. Also pray that the churches will be intentional and courageous, seeking opportunities to proclaim the gospel in these children s homes. - 4- Flourish Flourish is an online eqipping community for ministry wives. Pray for church planting wives as they transition to new cities and new cultures. Pray for ministry wives who juggle the demands of their own 40-hour work week while partnering with their husbands in ministry. Ask God to provide spritual and emotional support for the demanding task of church planting. Pray for families in ministry as they face challenges regarding school choices for their children. PrayerConnect Connect with missionaries and chaplains by praying for them and their work, either through specific ministry prayer requests or on their birthdays. Hannah Meyer 06 06 2018 Grass Valley, CA Hannah Meyer is a disaster relief chaplain serving in Grass Valley, Calif. Please pray for the youth in our community to come to the first Christian Youth in Action summer camp in June. They will be trained to share in neighborhoods across the state. Also pray for people to host the five-day clubs they teach and for children to attend.lee Jewett Brandon Woodruff 06 06 2018 Brooklyn, NY Brandon Woodruff and his family are serving in Brooklyn, N.Y. I am a church planting intern and fitness coach. My prayer and vision is to be covocational long term and to plant a church with a team of pastors. Currently, I am working a full-time job as a fitness coach on the side. Please pray that the Lord leads us to where to plant and that He grows our fitness business to sustain our family and even our church. Please pray that I lead my family well in the midst of what seems like a constant transitional phase. Thank you!
