Maggie Lauterer and Zack Allen - "Music in Appalachia Shape Note Singing" June 25 Dr. Mel Bringle, editor of Glory to God - "Hymns of the Reformation" A shuttle will be provided by Montreat Presbyterian Church from the parking lot to the PHC from 8:35-8:55 each Sunday. Folks are also invited to see the interesting exhibits at the PHC. Summer Worship Series in Anderson Auditorium, 10:30 A.M. The Summer Worship Series, sponsored by the Montreat Conference Center and Montreat Presbyterian Church, continues, 10:30 A.M., Sunday, June 11 in Anderson Auditorium. For more information, including the calendar of guest speakers, please click here. Our pastor meets weekly with the Conference Center's planning team throughout the summer and is a regular participant in the liturgy. Summer Contributions Contributions to MPC given during the summer services can be made out to Montreat Presbyterian Church and will be forwarded to us. Blue envelopes for checks or cash, can be found at the MPC display in the Anderson lobby each Sunday. You may also pick up envelopes from the church office for your use during the summer months. Contributions may also by mailed to PO Box 577, Montreat NC 28757. Summer Saturdays Begin June 17, 10:30 A.M.

Everyone is welcome to join us for Summer Saturday Worship, beginning Saturday, June 17. Fellowship begins at 10:30, followed by a 30- minute worship service at 11:00. Keith Grogg will be preaching on II Corinthians 12:1-10, "My Grace Is Sufficient for You." Gift Presented to SVCM Some of the Montreat Presbyterian Church folks who volunteer at SVCM, along with session members and others, posed recently with SVCM director Cheryl Wilson for the presentation of the church's gift toward the capital campaign for a new shelter for women and children. Saturday Morning Refreshments Sign-Up If you would like to provide simple refreshments for one of our Summer Saturday mid-morning worship gatherings in the Allen Building, please see our sign-up sheet or contact the office for available Saturdays (828-664-9212/office@montreatchurch.org). Coffee and accessories, filtered water and cups, tablecloth and utensils are already provided by the church office. Simple and thrifty are the watchwords; cookies or crackers are sufficient Fellowship begins at 10:30; building will be unlocked at 10:00. Attendance varies; anticipate 20-25 Reimbursement is available but very limited Please use reusable or easily recyclable items (no Styrofoam) - note that we already have plain paper plates and napkins as well as compostable cups and utensils. Friends & Partners in Mission Second Loaf, in partnership with Swannanoa Valley Christian Ministries in Black Mountain, recruits volunteers to help collect food leftover from conferences Saturday mornings at Black Mountain Presbyterian Church. Unopened food goes directly to SVCM, and opened and cooked foods are distributed immediately to waiting families. Second Loaf will run from 8:00-11:00 A.M., June 10, 17, 24; July 1, 15, 22, and 29; and August 5. (NOTE: No Second Loaf on July 8.)
