Surprising and mysterious. Who is this Jesus shining before us in dazzling white clothes? The gospel tells us this: law-giver like Moses, prophet like Elijah, beloved Son like no other! He is the one who intercedes for us, who prays for us, who desires beyond hope for us an obediently devoted life now and a final heavenly life to come. In listening to the Beloved Son, what do I need to hear? How will this hearing change or better my behaviors? How will I walk before the Lord these Lenten days doing mercy work? MEETINGS SPY Wednesday, Feb. 28 6:45-8:00 p.m. Parish Hall. P.S.R. Wednesday, Feb. 28, K-6 th grade at 3:30-4:30 p.m. and 7-8 th Grade at 7:00-8:00 p.m. Parish Hall. LOAVES & FISHES FOOD PANTRY The Loaves & Fishes Food Pantry is collecting food and nonperishable items EVERY Saturday and Sunday. Baskets are located in the church vestibule for your convenience. Please remember those who have very little. One canned good/item from each family one weekend a month can make a difference. Food Pantry is open on Mondays 9:00 a.m.-12:00 noon and Fridays 3:00-5:30 p.m. Next working day Monday, March 5, 2018. ENCOUNTER CESIA We encounter Cesia in Nicaragua, where, despite a lack of economic opportunity, young people pursue their dreams by building businesses to better their lives. How can you work to improve the lives of others this Lent? How can you support those, worldwide, who are forced to flee their homes to find safety or better opportunities?
