PALM SUNDAY MUSIC: On Palm Sunday, April 9, at 11:00 am the Chancel Choir will present Pepper Choplin's cantata, "Come Walk With Me." The music and narration walk us through the profound moments of Jesus' life such as His last Passover meal, the tension and anguish of Gethsemane and finally, the power of the cross. Come and walk this road with us as we journey to the cross. MAUNDY THURSDAY, April 13: Maundy Thursday Meal in the Fellowship Hall at 6:15 pm. Bring dishes of fruit, cheeses, crackers, breads, hot cross buns, etc. (a simple meal of foods that are easily picked up). The Maundy Thursday Service will include an Upper Room Communion experience. GOOD FRIDAY SERVICE, April 14: The Good Friday Tenebrae Service will be held in the sanctuary on April 14 at 7:30 pm. "The Seven Last Days" by Joel Raney is the dramatic and musical presentation of Jesus' last week here on earth. It begins with Palm Sunday and ends with His crucifixion. Each of the seven days has a special event that moves Him one day closer to the cross. Travel with us to the cross and the crucifixion of Jesus, the Christ.

(In case of rain, the Sunrise Service will be held at Lewisville Baptist Church.) 8:30 am New Beginning Service (Easter Celebration), Fellowship Hall 11:00 am Easter Celebration Worship, Sanctuary LIVING CROSSES: Please bring a fresh flower, blossom, or bud on Easter morning to put on the ivy-covered crosses that will be placed outside at both entrances to the church. Lewisville United Methodist Women s Friendship Tea All mothers, daughters, aunts, cousins, sisters, and friends are invited to save the date for the LUMW FRIENDSHIP TEA. This highly anticipated event will take place on Sunday, May 21, at 3:00 pm in the Fellowship Hall. Come and share a spot of tea and light tea refreshments. You can join in the fun by reserving a table that you decorate (centerpiece and tea place settings). You will be amazed at the beautiful displays of traditional and whimsy table decorations. You will laugh and share in the moment of fun and inspiration. School age daughters are welcomed to attend. Child care will not be provided. Reverend Lauren Auten, District Superintendent of the Uwharrie District will be our guest speaker. She will share a message to enlighten and challenge us on friendship. Reverend Auten is our own Reverend Susan s sister! The cost for the table reservation is $100.00 for 8 seats. If you are unable to reserve a table, but would like to come, individual tickets will be $15.00. All proceeds will benefit United Methodist Women Missions and the Church Parlor Restoration. All reservations are required by May 7 th. We are excited about this event and hope that you will participate!
