Why I am NOT joining a Life Group! Excuse #8: I don t know how to cook for a group that big! I hear that you take turns making meals for each other. Have you considered There is always Pizza Ranch...just kidding! Cooking for a group can be a daunting task. Don t let it keep you from joining a Life Group! While it s true that some groups may choose to share a meal together when they meet, not all groups will choose to do so. Some will simply gather for fellowship, Bible study, prayer, and service without food, but let s be honest that s not very MRC-like! Groups may do a simple snack, a full meal or no food at all. Each group will be different! When it s time to sign up for a Life Group, be sure to read each group s details. You ll be able to see which groups are sharing meals and which aren t. Replenish Sharing Freezer Do you enjoy cooking? Consider making meals to add to our sharing freezer! It s a great way to bless others in our church and in our community! Reminder: We ask that all groups wishing to use the church for meetings, small groups, etc. contact the church office so that it can be placed on the calendar. You can find a Room Usage Calendar on Breeze or on the church website under the events tab. Thank you! VBS: Those who have registered for VBS as of May 13th, check your church mailbox for a song CD. If you don t see a CD, please talk to Jamie Kamerman. Info Packets with information about times, bus schedule, craft supplies, and more were sent out this week through e-mail. If you d like a paper version, please pick one up from the Information Booth. Prayer Partner lists and snack supplies will be sent out separately. Thank you to all those who have signed up to be a refreshment supplier. A reminder postcard is in your church mailbox with your refreshment items and the day we need them dropped off. We are still in need of cookies and frosted cupcakes. If you could help us out, please sign up today at the information table or talk to Jamie Kamerman. Thank you!

Shipwrecked VBS is almost here! We can t wait to spend the week with you at VBS next week (June 4-8)! By now, you should have received information about what supplies you need for VBS or where you re volunteering. If you have not received this information, please check at the Information Booth or talk to Tracy Cleveringa, Jamie Kamerman or Melissa Dykstra. If you still need to register, please do so very soon so we can ensure we have enough supplies. Student registration is at https://mrc.breezechms.com/form/vbs201713 and volunteer registration is at https://mrc.breezechms.com/form/vbsvolunteer64. There will be a few mini-camps offered at MRC this summer! Group size will be limited, so please fill out the registrations and turn into Bonnie Wolf as soon as possible! Colored registrations can be found at the info table! Continue to watch bulletins for times and supplies! Dates for camps are: June 25, 27, 28 First grade Bible camp (students entering first grade this fall) orange form July 9, 11, 12 Third grade LEGO Camp (students entering third grade this gall) green form July 23, 25, 26 Fifth grade Service Camp (students entering 5th grade this fall) pink form May s Special Offering: Center of Hope (see Maurice Moments article for details) Please mark your envelope or check with Special and place it with your regular giving in the offering plate. May Benevolent Feature Zestos is a fellowship of volunteers living out their faith and caring for their neighbors. They offer many services to the community, with one of them being "The Shepard's Table", which is a monthly outreach event that is hosted by churches throughout Northwest Iowa. Here they extend God's gracious hospitality to everyone with a free home cooked meal, free take-home food, fellowship, and the love of Jesus in an environment where social and economic status does not matter. How can I get involved? Food Processing & Packaging: get food ready to share with someone in need Transportation: gather food & other resources or make deliveries to individuals, churches, and fellowship events Fellowship Team: provide hospitality, fellowship, relationship building, and witness at meals & other events Accountability Partner: build a relationship that encourages, guides,& helps someone find their way Intercessors: come boldly before the throne of Almighty God with prayers and requests on behalf of our clients, volunteers, and staff
