Pastor s Paragraph Come, follow me, and I ll show you how to fish for people. Matthew 4:19 (CEB) What does it mean when we say we follow Jesus? There s a lot we can say. Today, I m going to focus on what it means to go all in. Jesus call affects our mind, heart and body. We hear God s call in our mind. I m not talking about voices in our head, but the quiet thought or idea or question that pops into our mind. You ve experience it, whether you responded or not. The Holy Spirit prompts us to turn to Jesus, learn more about him and to choose to believe he is our Savior. Our heart changes when we make that choice. Romans 12:1-3 tells we re transformed. We re changed, from the inside-out. Our view shifts: we see ourselves and the world in a different way. The old, bad habits we have are still there, but they re less appealing. We see others in a new way. We can see how we re all alike. We all need God s love and mercy. We want to reach out and help. Caring for others requires us to take physical action. That s when our body gets involved. Maybe it s only one or two things to start, but as we begin to take action, we experience God s presence in a new way. We feel blessed and others bless us. We want to imitate the way Jesus lived even more. Best of all, we want to invite others to join and show them how to do what we feel called to do. When we re all in mind, heart and body, we re acting in unity with our spirit. When we care for others because we want to share Jesus love, we re in union with God. Our spiritual life becomes deeper, richer and more satisfying. We re being made perfect in love by God s grace. Don t hold back. Answer the call. You ll be blessed. To God be the glory ~ Pastor Eric
