PRAYER OF INVOCATION Lord God, we pray for you to love us and to bless us and all your dear children on this day in the season of Christmas. We pray for you to fit us for heaven that we may live with you there. How can we be made fit? How can we get to heaven? Heaven seems so far. We are grateful, Lord God, that you have answered our pleas with your presence. We are grateful that you have come to us right where we are. We are grateful that we are not charged with entering heaven, only with allowing heaven to enter us. Fill us with the power of the Holy Spirit that we may live into the will of heaven on earth; that we may, with Christ, open heaven s door and spread forth God s blessings to all forevermore with rejoicing.
