CHANGES OF RITUAL ADULT ED SESSIONS TODAY Sunday, Feb. 22nd 9:15 am Downtown & 10:45 am Highlands Mike O Connell is a life-long resident of Hudson and a funeral director at the O Connell Funeral Home, started in 1985 by his mom and dad, Tom and Janet O Connell. Mike, in his engaging style, will share how things have changed in our homes, church and the funeral, itself, when dealing with death and grief. Many of the rituals and attitudes have changed over the years and this presentation will be an opportunity to hear and discuss these changes. Please join us TO- DAY (Sunday morning) for this Adult Education opportunity! LENTEN WORSHIP SERIES & SUPPER, FEBRUARY 25 Our Lenten worship series start THIS Wednesday, February 25 at 7 pm at the Highlands campus. Theme: INVITING EYES /Luke 5:1-11. The Bethel Youth Worship Band (Eric Holter, Lauren Peterson, Andy Johnson, Afton Eisch) will join us. Please come for a tasty meal prior to the service (each with a gluten-free option) and good fellowship, 5:45-6:45 pm. Cost: $4.00/person with a $15.00 family limit. Hope to see you there! LENTEN SUPPER MENU, FEBRUARY 25 The Congregational Life committee will host, Italian Night - lasagna, spaghetti, red sauce/meatballs, tortellini/white sauce, gluten-free casserole, tossed salad, French bread, Neopolitan ice cream/ice cream wafer. Additional details will be communicated via email to those who are registered. We will help those who have indicated to coordinate carpooling options. We are all looking forward to a faith filled weekend together! CALLING PAST & POTENTIAL SMALL GROUP LEADERS The Education Team is planning another Small Group Experience and we need your help. Bethel has had three Small Group Experience opportunities in the past two years and we are planning our fourth round this coming May 3-23rd. The Small Group Experience is a congregation-wide three-week initiative to jump into a small group with hopes of growing closer to one another and to God. We have been blessed with great small group leaders in the past and are already praying and preparing for this next opportunity! I give thanks to God for these great leaders of Bethel willing to give of their time to create opportunities for community at Bethel! SIGN-UP DEADLINE IS MONDAY FOR YOUNG AT HEARTS On Thursday, March 5th, YAH will travel to the Minneapolis Institute of Arts (MIA) to view The Habsburgs, the first special show celebrating MIA's 100th birthday. The Habsburgs, Europe's greatest dynasty ruled for 500 years. The exhibition will highlight their great dynasty with more than 125 Old Master paintings, sculpture, antiquities, arms and armor, carriages and court costumes from the royal collection in Vienna. We will view this exhibit accompanied by docents who will explain what we are seeing, giving us historical background and interesting facts to heighten our enjoyment. The bus will leave Bethel Downtown at 9:30 am and leave the MIA at 2 pm to return to Hudson. The cost is $15.00. Lunch is on your own at either the upstairs restaurant or the lobby area cafe in the museum. Bethel members, if there is space after members have signed up, there will be a waiting list for friends. Please sign up and pay at the Downtown welcome center. The deadline for registration and payment is TOMORROW, Monday, February 23rd. There can be no refunds after this date unless someone on the waiting list can take your place. EASTER FLOWER ORDERS If you would like to order an Easter plant to decorate the altar at either campus, order envelopes are available at either welcome center, the church office, and in the welcome pads Downtown. Flowers are $8.50 each and choices include Easter lilies, daffodils, and purple, yellow, pink or red tulips. Please place orders by Sunday, March 22nd.

Thanks to these students for helping bring awareness to the basic needs of others. MALAWI OFFERING SUNDAY SCHOOL Thanks to all the families who contributed to the Sunday School offering for Malawi, we raised $73.50 that will be sent via our synod to help those suffering from the effects of severe flooding in Malawi. BACK TO BILOXI AUGUST 23-29! The Fuller Center Disaster ReBuilders will host a blitz build during their Katarina reunion in Biloxi, MS Aug. 23-29. A Bethel team will participate in this event, which will include completely building several homes and remodeling others in one week. SPACE IS LIMITED SIGN UP SOON. The cost of the trip is $250 plus transportation. If interested, please contact Alan Park at parka99@sbcglobal.net.
