Purpose of the Retreat The intent of the Devic Retreat is to be on an inward journey to experience the real nature of your higher Self, and what better than in the lap of mother nature. There was a reason the rishis and masters in ancient times always chose nature to do tapas (penance) - the pure energies of nature act as a powerful catalyst in raising the ego-mind based self to the higher Self. When focused sadhana is done in the vibrations of prakriti (nature), the effect is multi-fold and can be experienced instantly because when you are in nature manifesting is easy. In this retreat, the prime focus is to connect with the Nature Devas and through the purity of naad (sound), in the purity of prakriti, familiarize yourself with the pure consciousness you already are.
What you can expect at the Retreat Two days, disconnected from the external world of deadlines, targets, and stress of daily life, you can expect soul stirring experiences through activities such as treks to connect with the nature Devas and experience deep silence, sound healing meditations, chakra activation through music, balancing pancha koshas (five sheaths) and panch tatwas (five elements) using actual tatwas through energy ragas, satsangs, and treks in the woods. Gudalur A land of Gods Gudalur is a beautiful place located in the Nilgiris. Located approximately above 3500 ft, it borders all three states Kerala, Tamil Nadu, and Karnataka. Abundantly blessed with natural beauty, bordering the Mudumalai reserve forest, this place offers an ideal seclusion for the spiritual retreat. Women can carry track pants for the trek, as that will be more comfortable than a salwar suit/saree Please avoid heavy perfume and colognes to avoid drawing attention of animals. Please wear sun glasses and apply mosquito repellent cream Please wear trekking/walking shoes. Slippers cannot be worn in deep jungle Please carry a water bottle
How to get to the Resort: The resort is located 16 kms from Gudalur. The roads close by 17:00 hrs IST. All plans must be made in such a way that you reach the resort before 17:00 hrs IST on November 16th. Routes 1. Calicut to Gudalur to resort distance is 86.8 kms 2. Mysore to Gudalur to resort distance is 114 kms 3. Coimbatore to Gudalur to resort distance is 141 kms 4. Bangalore to Gudalur to resort distance is 259 kms Mode of Transport 1. Flight Flights can to be taken to reach Calicut International Airport Mysore Domestic Airport Coimbatore International Airport Bangalore International Airport From Calicut, Mysore and Coimbatore cabs can be taken to reach the resort. From Bangalore a direct cab can be taken or a train to Mysore and from there a cab.
2. Train Train can be taken from Bangalore Mysore. Cabs can be hired from Mysore to the resort. 3. Bus Buses operated by Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) and private operators can be taken from Bangalore to Gudalur. From Gudalur, the resort is 16km.
