- < Art 5 The clerk shall record the proceedngs of the body when n sesson and stperntend the publcaton of the same and do all other wrtng pertanng to busness of the Assocaton He shall also preserve a fle of the mnutes of the Assocaton, whch he shall delver to hs successor n offce Art 6 The Treasurer shall keep a correct account of all funds receved and dsbursed by hm, showng the balance, f any on hand He shall only pay out money on the order of the Assocaton or the Executve Commttee Art 7 The Executve Commttee shall have power to execute the laws and regulatons of the Assocaton when the Assocaton s not n sesson, and to make rules for the government, provded such rules are not repugnant to the Consttuton or Decorum of the Assocaton Art 8 t shall be the duty of the Home Msson Board to work for rhurch extenson and church preservaton, for whch purpose they shall draw on the Executve Commttee and varous others for the necessary funds when the Assocaton s not n sesson The Board makes rules and regulatons for ther own government that are not n conflct wth the Consttuton or Decorum of ths Assocaton Art 9 The Assocaton shall be opened and closed wth prayer Art 1 Ths Decorum may be altered or amended by a majorty of the delegates present durng any sesson CHURCH DECORUM 1 The church may choose a pastor annually at the last regular conference n Assocatonal year; or f they prefer t may choose a pastor for an ndefnte length of tme, t6 contnue from year to year, so long as they may deem t proper to keep up connecton 2 When t becomes necessary, a pastor may be chosen at any other tme, but f the choce be made at a specal conference, the tme must be apponted at a monthly meetng of the church 3 The pastor shall be the moderator of the church, but when he 1> absent or does not st as moderator beng present, a sutable brother shall be apponted to st n hs place 4 The pastor of each church shall have the power to form a preshytery and ordan deacons for the church; also examne ordaned mns lers who make applcaton to our order, shall be set apart n rank; but not re-ordaned 5 There shall be two or more deacons n the church whose duty t shall be to superntend the collecton and dsbursement of the contrbutons made by the church for the paste~, etc, and to dstrbute the bread and wne n the admnstraton of the Lords Supper 6 The deacons shall take notce of such members as refuse or neglect to partake of the Lords Supper and endeavor to ascertan the cause, the same may be lad before the church n conference f necessary 7 Some sutable member shall be apponted Clerk, and t shall be hs 15 \ - -- -- - - - -----,_--~-<-~ -- - --:---~~-:(
