Welcome to our worship service today! FUMC is a Reconciling Congregation where all persons of any age, gender, gender identity, race, ethnic origin, economic reality, family status, sexual orientation, diverse ability or social status are welcome without reservation to share in God s love. We are always delighted to have visitors seeking fellowship in our Christian community. We invite you to journey with us in ministry and mission. You may indicate your desire to join us on the Ritual of Friendship or by contacting the pastor. Stop by our welcome table in the narthex for further information and stop in the parlor for a cup of coffee between services! Persons with some difficulties hearing, but who do not wear hearing aids, can find receiver/earbuds on the table in the narthex. Feel free to bring your own earbuds! Flowers on the stand are given to the glory of God and in celebration of Carl and Lisa Davie's 8th wedding anniversary. We welcome Margaret-Anne Milne and thank her for substituting while Nicole is away. Summer Sunday School at 10:30am for PreK-2 nd Grade, through August 24. PARKING LOT: work will be going on this coming week in the parking lot with seal coat on August 13. The staff is off-site and the church will be closed on that day. General Announcements HYMN SING next Sunday, August 10, we ll incorporate lots of your favorites. Please let Margaret know of one or two of yours by email (Margaret@fairportumc.org) or by putting a note in her box by TOMORROW. We will also have Rev. David Durham as preacher that day. Kamina Friends Inc, is pleased to have Rev. Willy Banza Yumba in town visiting, he has been active in Kamina working on our project and other activities of the UMC. We are hosting a casual breakfast Sunday, August 10 at 7:30am in the Fellowship Hall for the church to get to know Rev. Willy. So please stop down, grab a bagel and a drink and say hi. There will be no charge, just good fellowship. SPRC cordially invites the congregation to a Celebration of Welcome for our new associate pastor, Christian Jewell, on Sunday, August 17. There will be Lemonade on the Lawn after the 9:00am service and a picnic on the lawn with hot dogs, veggie alternative, chips, lemonade and cookies after the 10:30am service. Early service worshippers are invited back for the picnic at 11:30 (ish)! WANTED AND NEEDED - BULLETIN FOLDERS on Fridays at your convenience after 11am! Folding takes about 45 minutes and if enough volunteers sign up it s only needed every six weeks or so. Thanks!! Donations are now being accepted for the annual Advent House garage sale, 1010 Moseley Road, Tuesday through Saturday from 9:00am to 8:00pm through August 2. Sale August 22-23. Pet Sitting Service by Young Adult Ministry are you going on vacation, or away for a weekend, and don t want to put your pet(s) in a kennel or leave them home alone? We can help! Free outdoor movie classics to kick off Drama Kids 10th year of service in Rochester. Each event starts with a costume parade, so come dressed as a character from the movie and be ready to sing to the words on the screen. Please bring a new or gently used children s book, or backpack to be donated to a child in need, and bring soda pop tabs for the Ronald McDonald House.
