Attentiveness Thoroughness Therefore we must give the more earnest heed to the things we have heard, lest we drift away Heb 2:1 So he answered and said, You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength, and with all your mind, and your neighbor as yourself. Luke 10:27 Determination, Endurance, Commitment I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearing. 2 Tim 4:7-8 Availability For I have no one like-minded, who will sincerely care for your state. For all seek their own, not the things which are of Christ Jesus. Phil 2:20-21 21
Courage Flexibility Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go. Josh 1:9 Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth. Col 3:2 Compassion But whoever has this world s goods, and sees his brother in need, and shuts up his heart from him, how does the love of God abide in him? 1 John 3:17 Lord, who may abide in Your tabernacle? Who may dwell in Your holy hill? He who walks uprightly, And works righteousness, And speaks the truth in his heart; He who does not backbite with his tongue, Nor does evil to his neighbor, Nor does he take up a reproach against his friend; In whose eyes a vile person is despised, But he honors those who fear the Lord; He who swears to his own hurt and does not change; He who does not put out his money at usury, Nor does he take a bribe against the innocent. He who does these things shall never be moved. Psalm 15 Dependability, Faithfulness, Loyalty
Diligence Initiative And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ. Col 3:23-24 24 Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good. Rom 12:21 Resourcefulness, Conservation Enthusiasm Likewise, I say to you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents. Luke 15:10 See that no one renders evil for evil to anyone, but always pursue what is good both for yourselves and for all. Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. Do not quench the Spirit 1 Thess 5:15-19 19
Acceptance Honor, Respect No one has seen God at any time. If we love one another, God abides in us, and His love has been perfected in us. 1 John 4:12 You are worthy, O Lord, To receive glory and honor and power; For You created all things, And by Your will they exist and were created. Rev 4:11 Gratefulness Honesty, Truthfulness Continue earnestly in prayer, being vigilant in it with thanksgiving; Col 4:2 Lying lips are an abomination to the Lord, But those who deal truthfully are His delight. Proverbs 12:22
Joyfulness Sensitivity A merry heart makes a cheerful countenance, But by sorrow of the heart the spirit is broken. Prov 15:13 Rejoice with those who rejoice, and weep with those who weep. Rom 12:15 Forgiveness Contentment And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you. Eph 4:32 And having food and clothing, with these we shall be content. 1 Tim 6:8
Obedience Tolerance For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ. Therefore receive one another, just as Christ also received us, to the glory of God. Rom 15:7 2 Cor 10:4-5 Orderliness Generosity Let all things be done decently and in order. 1 Cor 14:40 But this I say: He who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. 2 Cor 9:6
Benevolence, Kindness Decisiveness My little children, let us not love in word or in tongue, but in deed and in truth. In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths. 1 John 3:18 Prov 3:6 Patience Gentleness And not only that, but we also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance; and perseverance, character; and character, hope. Rom 5:3-4 But we were gentle among you, just as a nursing mother cherishes her own children. 1 Thess 2:7
Courteous Communication Sincerity Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in Your sight, O Lord, my Strength and my Redeemer. Psalm 19:14 Since you have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit in sincere love of the brethren, love one another fervently with a pure heart 1 Pet 1:22 Discernment, Discretion Creativity A prudent man foresees evil and hides himself, But the simple pass on and are punished. Prov 22:3 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God. Rom 12:2
Self-Control Humility Whoever has no rule over his own spirit Is like a city broken down, without walls. Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time Prov 25:28 1 Pet 5:6 Meekness Punctuality My soul, wait silently for God alone, For my expectation is from Him. To everything there is a season, A time for every purpose under heaven Ps 62:5 Eccl 3:1
Responsibility Wisdom Now he who plants and he who waters are one, and each one will receive his own reward according to his own labor. 1 Cor 3:8 If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. James 1:5 Virtue But also for this very reason, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue, to virtue knowledge, to knowledge selfcontrol, to self-control perseverance, to perseverance godliness, to godliness brotherly kindness, and to brotherly kindness love. For if these things are yours and abound, you will be neither barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. Love And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, but have not love, it profits me nothing. 1 Cor 13:3 2 Pet 1:5-8
