June 2018 Bulletin Fr. Louis Boué 2017/2018 Executive www.louisboue2355.com Faithful Friar: Rev Fr & SK Brian Jane Worthy Sir Knights and Ladies, Faithful Navigator s Report Let me start this report by recognizing all the newly elected executive members that have stepped up to lead our Assembly for the coming fraternal year. I am confident that all of these Sir Knights will continue to lead our Assembly with dignity, courage and pride. Congratulations! I look forward to working with you in the coming year. Summer is finally here and while that does give us a brief respite from our meetings, it does not mean that the Colour Corp will not be active. Summer is usually filled with opportunities to display our patriotism and devotion to our Church. I encourage all Colour Corp Members to avail themselves of every opportunity and participate as often as possible. It s always a great time to be with Brother Sir Knights. I was pleased with the turn out for our June BBQ and had the opportunity to talk with most in attendance. As usual the steaks were fantastic! Thank you to S.K. Tim Lauriault and team for organizing another successful social evening. On Memorial Day, May 28 th, Sir Knight Dan Orawski and myself, along with two other Sir Knights, travelled to Sterling Heights Michigan to participate in their parade. It was a great experience, seeing the outpouring of patriotism. I encourage all members to participate in our upcoming July 1 st Canada Day parade in Windsor. Sir Knights, Available dinner tickets Comptroller s Report Now that summer is almost here it means the end of another fraternal year. Most of the members are paid up with their dues. I will be sending out Knight Alert letters for the members still owing dues. We need to keep our assembly strong and have great pride in it as well. Therefore, if we want to keep it that way, all members paying dues need to contribute to help us out. Let s keep our assembly great. The one thing that did not happen this fraternal year was an exemplification. It is near impossible to keep up membership when you have members pass away and none to replace them. The only other way to get members is to get former members to rejoin or members transferring in. Not an easy task. Since there is one later this calendar year, we have an opportunity to get our membership back up with new members. We have applications and if they follow through, this will definitely help us. It is hard to tell how the finances will do at the end of the fraternal year. The Lottery account went down a bit due to members passing away and the general account could be down a bit as well in the end. We are still doing well so that is good. We have invested some good money in the colour guard over the last couple of years so I pray that Supreme comes to their senses and not change anything here or we will lose our colour guard for sure over these new uniforms. May everyone enjoy the summer and have a good one. God bless and take care. Fraternally, SK Paul Peltier, PGK, PFN Faithful Comptroller 8 tickets for Steak BBQ hosted by Alvin P.
