March, 2018 Volume 26 No. 3 Faithful Navigator Report Worthy Brother Sir Knights, Thank you for your patience on this month s Mitre message. First off I would like to thank everyone who attended the Prime Rib and Shrimp Dinner fund raiser that was held on Saturday, February 17 th, in Galt. These events are fun because they help support our Assembly, the community, and everyone has fun enjoying the comradery of our fellow Knights, friends, and Family. I took a few pictures at this event; I hope you like them. Our upcoming events will include our yearly Hoe Down, Exemplification, and supporting our Color Corp during the competion in April. We are currently in need of new members and I strongly encourage all Brother Sir Knights to look for that new bright third degree prospect, wanting to join our ranks and just needs a little encouragement and support. Before our Business Meeting begins on the 27th of this month we plan on providing an informational get together for new members, so, invite a candidate you would like to sponsor for the April exemplification. We will have further discussion this topic at our next planning meeting. March 19th is the feast day of St Joseph, and as Father Dominic, from the Priests of the Sacred Heart, says, "There is much that we can learn from St. Joseph. In particular, the silence of St. Joseph. Only in that silence was he able to listen to God. He could have rejected Mary and her unborn child, but instead, he accepted the will of God and raised the son of God." Let us learn through the example of the "silence" of St. Joseph to make ourselves available to listen to God and his will through our daily actions and deeds.
