Enjoy some camping, go to the beach, picnic, or go on a trip somewhere; just do something you like. Before you know, it will be time for school to start again. Council History CHANGING OF THE GUARD Each year or two we seek new leaders for our Knights of Columbus Councils. This can be a difficult time for some councils because they do not prepare for change. They wait until the last minute then take whoever maybe willing to accept this responsibility. Our success has been attributed to having someone who is willing and supported by their family to lead. We are so very fortunate to have these two as Knights of Columbus. Respectfully Submitted: Richard T. Bertrand, P.G.K. August 1, 2016 I remember just two years ago when Patrick Decker, our past Grand Knight stepped forward. Many were concerned because of his lack of experience within the ranks but his determination and hard work made all of us so very proud for a job well done. I know his Mom had to be impressed with the job he has done and with his maturity in handling the membership. Now many of you may not have known his Dad (Francis) but I can just about imagine how proud he must be setting on that cloud up in the sky, watching his son succeed. Congratulations Patrick. You will have many great memories to cherish in the years to come, for a life time. As one door closes, another one opens. This will be the challenge for a man named Matt Perez. He will bring with him his wife, Marsha and a lifetime of experience to the church, his family and community. We can be so proud to have so many members within our council to set an example of a good catholic family. The success of any council comes also from the members and their willingness to support its leader. It is extremely important that you and I step forward to help carry the load to a greater level. Congratulations Matt for being our choice to lead the Biggest Little Council in the State of Michigan.
