Matthew 9:37-38 Amplified Bible (AMP) 37 Then He said to His disciples, The harvest is [indeed] plentiful, but the workers are few. 38 So pray to the Lord of the harvest to send out workers into His harvest. Action International Ministries Annual Field Conference in Batangas March 11-14 ACTION Philippines Orientation in Silang March 15-17 We have been looking forward to this time with fellow ACTION missionaries since our Orientation in Seattle last September. We had a chance to meet and have deeper talks about our Father s heart for the lost in the different locations He has placed us. There were prayer times, messages, praise and worship times, and wonderful fellowship to get to know each other more. Sharing and finding ways on how else we can support and partner with each other were blessings to keep each other fueled and equipped to doing the works He has given each of us. In the end of our time together, our hearts synched to pray for God to thrust more of His workers into His harvest. As it is written in Matthew 9:38 Amplified Bible (AMP), 38 So pray to the Lord of the harvest to send out workers into His harvest. Would you join us? If God has been tugging on your heart to go where He sends you, you are one of His answers to our set time of 9:38 (AM/PM) prayers. After the Conference, our Orientation for the Philippines Team took place March 15-17 in Second Mile in Silang, Cavite. There were five (5) others who were with us to learn about the local Action Philippines
structure and ways. We also visited the local ACTION ministries in Cavite: Honest Hands, Working Hands, and Brand New Day. The location of Second Mile was a pleasant surprise for Apol and me because they are very close to the mission outreach that we are helping in. And praise God for since we have started residing in Silang in the mission outreach location, our ACTION family in Second Mile have helped us with our various needs that have come up. This is just another example of God s working wonders. God knew and soli Deo gloria! Da2lJ (Discipling Another to Love Jesus) Tagalog Translation We mentioned about this assignment in our previous newsletter. The Da2lJ manual is a discipleship material used for 1:1. It is available in English, Tagalog and Visayan translations. Last 2009, Apol and I were commissioned by the Da2lJ organization to translate the material to Tagalog and we were again given the privilege to update the translation. Since our last report, we found that updating the Tagalog translation while helping our Church in Silang, Cavite required better time management on our part. Praise God for His working wonders and He gave Apol ideas and the flexibility to tackle this assignment. God helped us resist discouragement when we thought we were running out of time. Since Apol had to travel back to Cebu to check on the construction in Dove home (what we named our home-base in Cebu for simple reference. ), he gave more focus and he completed this assignment in record-time. We submitted the work on April 10, twenty (20) days ahead of schedule. Yes, another one of God s working wonders and soli Deo gloria! Parañaque Bible Christian Church (PBCC) Mataas na Burol Christian Fellowship (MBCF), Mission Outreach of PBCC in Silang, Cavite Note: PBCC is our home and sending church in the Philippines. Coming back to help in our Church s mission outreach in Mataas na Burol, in Silang, Cavite, was exciting for us. We saw its beginnings and we were blessed to be part of its story from the very start with our senior pastor last 2007. However, we were also made aware of the challenges and trials that this Outreach has gone through since we left and the number of attendees has sadly gone down to half when we came back in March. In addition, the relations with the Barangay, the local administrative division, has been strained. With all of these in mind, Apol and I agreed to keep our focus to find ways so we can help build the Church back up and strong again for our Father s kingdom. Transitioning and assimilating to the culture and ways that have become regular practices in the Outreach in Silang required some adjustments on our part; more so for Bettina because she is not used to living in a youth center atmosphere. Along with the current youth worker and student workers, we are also generously provided shared housing and free use of utilities such as electricity, water, and internet. By God s grace and working wonders, 1:1 ministry opportunities in our home church opened up for Bettina and she has been traveling back and forth for the past three weeks. This has greatly helped Bettina, and as God allows, this schedule will continue for a few more weeks. Since we started in March, here are more of God s working wonders in Silang: Faithful regular attendees

It was a week full of tears and wonderful testimonies of God s wonder works in his life and in those who God drew to Himself because of our Senior Pastor. He had been sick for the past couple of years and he fought a good fight. We are privileged to know him as our Kuya, our Ninong, and our Pastor, and we look forward to fellowshiping with him again when it s our turn to be called home.
