NEWS FROM KANAPAHA Page 6 Mission... By Moderator, Kim Friend Interfaith build a celebration of faith partnerships Habitat's mission involves building communities as well as homes. Habitat's interfaith initiative offers the opportunity to extend a hand to our neighbors of other faiths, and to work together to rid the world of poverty housing. Our Interfaith Builds are funded and built by members of local faith communities. Aside from new homes built, the positive and meaningful interaction among members of different religions encourages mutual trust, inspires hope, and ensures the sustainability of interfaith collaboration. CALLING ALL BUILDERS (WITH OR WITHOUT EXPERIENCE) On Saturday, April 13, KPC will be working on the Interfaith Build project for Alachua County Habitat for Humanity. We are looking for people who are willing to help out at the build site (remember no experience necessary). Volunteers must be 16 yrs. or older. We will also be looking for people to help provide lunch to the work crew. A sign up sheet will be circulated during the worship services for volunteers to help at the site or to assist with lunch.
