Lenten Cross Liturgy Our liturgy this year comes from Nexus Methodist Church, a Christian Community in Bath where 2 Methodist churches have united, using one building as their main worship centre and both as community centres to serve the people of Bath. May the words and symbols help us as we travel through Lent. Leader: Leader: All: LENT LITURGY 2016 On this sixth Sunday in Lent, Palm Sunday, we add palms to the Lenten Cross. What kind of King is this? Palms are placed at the foot of the cross Many people spread their cloaks on the road, while others spread branches they had cut in the fields. Those who went ahead and those who followed shouted, Hosanna! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord! Blessed is the coming kingdom of our father David! Hosanna in the highest heaven! [Mark 11: 8-10] In this most holy of weeks, help us to stay close to Jesus, that we may recognise the unfolding work of God. Amen

Jeremy Arthern The Servant Queen and the King she serves This is the title of a lovely book produced by the Bible Society, Hope and the London Institute of Contemporary Christianity as a tribute for the Queen s 90 th birthday. The book reflects on her reign and in particular on the crucial role of her Christian faith in her life and work. The Queen testifies to the hope and strength she draws from her trust in Jesus. It is hoped that people will give this book to friends, family members and neighbours and use it to open up conversations about the Christian faith and perhaps to share their own testimonies. To this end, the book has been produced as a gift for no profit and will cost just 1. There is a copy in the vestibule for you to look at; in order to gauge how many we should order for Priory, please indicate if you would like a copy. Easter Breakfast - 27th March Please see the signup sheet in the vestibule to sign up for Easter breakfast starting from 8:30am.

Support for Yarlswood Detention Centre As part of the Goldington Churches Together initiative to support the residents at Yarlswood, Priory will send 40 Easter cards written to the residents on Priory s behalf. Thanks to Hazel and her Crafts Group for doing this. There is still a great need for Bibles, so if you have any spare Bible in good condition, please give to Glayne before Palm Sunday so they can be sent too. There is no need for suitcases at present. Thanks Many thanks to those who came and listened to our Janet on Saturday afternoon plus all those who provided the cakes. Janet has indicated that they really appreciated the support and would like to come and sing (not a practice) at a Coffee Morning in the Autumn again for church funds.
