On Sunday, June 7, we will have a special Sunday school hour time where we will lay out a new gifts discernment vision. This vision flows out of the five-fold gifting model we find in Ephesians 4. Paul talks about how God gave gifts of apostles, prophets, evangelists, shepherds, and teachers. These gifts are given for the building up of the whole body, and everyone is gifted in some way. This will be a time to learn more about those gifts and spend time in prayer opening ourselves to how God is calling us to use our gifts for the building of the body! Copies of the June Calendar/Newsletter can be found on the bulletin board and under the mailboxes. Rejoice Devotionals for the Summer Quarter have arrived and can be picked up under the mailboxes.

KC2015 Delegates It may be hard to believe, but the Mennonite Church USA convention in Kansas City is only 47 days away. So much prayer, energy and careful planning has gone into this event already, and we are looking forward to joining with you all for a week of worshipful work. If you are planning to be a delegate at convention or just interested in the decisions that will be made in Kansas City and how they will affect the future of our church, we want to help you prepare. We have two resources that we hope you will consider engaging over the next six weeks. A six-week prayer and discernment guide. Leo Hartshorn, a pastor and artist from Portland, Oregon, has prepared a wonderful guide that includes six weeks of materials to help guide delegates and attendees in discernment before they arrive in Kansas City. The resource includes original art by Leo, as well as Scripture study, questions for reflection and more. You can download the guide for free online. The Spanish version will be available next week. Webinar conversations. You re invited to join me for an evening conversation via webinar on June 2. The time will include: An introduction to the agenda facing delegates this summer in Kansas City, an overview of Mennonite Church USA s polity and structure, and a time of question and answers. Register online today to join one of these conversations! In addition, we continue to upload information about the Delegate Assembly online, including the agenda for delegate meetings and the full text of all resolutions. http://mennoniteusa.org/resource/delegate-resources/ Blessings as you prepare for Kansas City. We are looking forward to seeing you there! Ervin Stutzman, Executive Director, Mennonite Church USA
