AUGUST 9-12, 2018 RISHIKESH, INDIA
About LIFE The Global Education & Leadership Foundation s annual conference, LIFE (Leadership Initiative For Excellence), has traditionally taken the form of a residential conference in Delhi. However, this year we are taking LIFE to the banks of the river Ganges for a three-day retreat where we look to engage in tgelf s core values of LEAD - Leadership, Ethics, Altruism and Decisive action. This year s theme for LIFE Retreat is LEAD from Within. In the spiritual atmosphere of Rishikesh, this invitation-only retreat for 150 people will convene young and older leaders eager to improve the state of our inner and outer worlds. We hope that this event will echo the voices of Dr. King, Mahatma Gandhi and Mother Teresa and will be a chance for all of us to get to know each other in a deep and meaningful manner. To other countries, I may go as a tourist but to India I come as a pilgrim - Martin Luther King Jr. 2
LIFE Retreat About the Programme At LIFE Retreat this year, there will be no speakers and no panels. All guests will participate in curated, moderated roundtable discussions on matters of the world, mind and spirit. There will be coordinated Samvaad break-out discussions to foster enthusiastic, thought-provoking and compelling conversations between LIFE attendees. The conference will be unique in its intimate and curated interactions between participants. Parmarth Niketan Ashram, Rishikesh Venue Partner 3

Through our values-based curriculum and high-impact projects, we have reached over 3 million youth in 14 countries. In November 2016 we launched Global Citizen India, a journey to mobilise young people to help end extreme poverty by 2030. In the lead up to the Global Entrepreneurship Summit in 2017, we took our Shuruaat Bus all across India to inspire a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship among school and college-aged students. Through these initiatives and various others, we at tgelf are working towards seeing young people in India and all over the world rising towards the great leadership the world needs.
