Membership Removal 2 January Events 3 December Pictures 4 & 5 Our Church Family 6 January 2019 Edition Volume 2019 Issue 1 IMPORTANT MEETINGS Maple Springs will hold a called Charge Conference meeting next Sunday, January 6th at 10:40am in the Sanctuary. The only business matters to be decided upon is to vote on the realignment of funds formerly designated for land purchase, and to approve the sale of property on Crepe Myrtle Circle. All members of Maple Springs are invited and eligible to vote. Make Your Voice Heard: WNC Delegation Listening Sessions Informational sessions on A Way Forward In February of 2019, there will be a Called Session of the General Conference of the United Methodist Church. This called General Conference will deal specifically with the church s stance on human sexuality. The Western North Carolina Conference Delegation, which will be in attendance at the General Conference, will be available at two listening sessions in early January. These sessions are for United Methodist clergy and laity to learn more about the upcoming conference, and share their perspectives. You will have the opportunity to make your voice heard during directed table conversations and brief presentations. The sessions will be identical. Registration is required. Saturday, January 5th at First UMC in Morganton from 10:00am-1:00pm Sunday, January 6th at First UMC in Salisbury from 3:00pm-6:00pm Information and registration are available: https://www.wnccumc.org/newsdetail/make-your-voice-heard-delegation-listening-sessions-12483050 ~also~ Here at Maple Springs, we have scheduled a "Way Forward" presentation and conversation to be held on Wednesday night, January 9th following our Wednesday evening meal at 5:30pm. Bart Milleson, a colleague and trained presenter for the District will be with us to make the basic presentation about the proposals before the General Conference in February, and then to set the stage for a brief time of table discussion. Everyone is invited and encourage to attend. Please make reservations by calling the church office or by completing the reservation form in the bulletin.

Salt, pepper, flavorings, ketchup, mustard etc. Prison Ministry: The Prison Ministry will be collecting stick or solid antiperspirant deodorant.
