GENERAL NOTICES PASSION PLAY AT OBERAMMERGAU In 2020, the famous Passion Play at Oberammergau will attract thousands of people to engage in an experience of the last week of Jesus ministry, culminating in the crucifixion and resurrection. I ve once again been invited by McCabe travel to lead a group, which will be an 8 day trip 29 th July 5 th August 2020, with a stay in the Austrian Tyrol and taking in the full experience of the Passion Play. These plays only come around once in 10 years and all the cast (hundreds of them) including animals are local villagers. Julie and I have led groups in 2000 and 2010 and are hoping for a good response for 2020. I now have brochures available, but because of the demand, booking and an initial refundable deposit need to be with me by June this year. I m initially advertising this only in Woodley but I know there are others from elsewhere who might want to come. Places are limited. Please do get in touch if you are interested and I ll get brochures to you Andy Baker. DATA PROTECTION Please contact Jane van Es if you process personal data on behalf of the church. The law is soon to change and we need to make sure that we are compliant. HEADLANDS ADVENTURE CENTRE You are invited to join us for a weekend of camping at the beautiful Headlands Centre in Ringwood from 22 nd to 24 th June. We have exclusive use of the site which comes with a fully equipped kitchen & hot showers for only 4 pp per night If you would like further information, please speak to Ceryn Edmunds 07711088788 or Louise Doel. Alternatively, you can email Ceryn at Ceryn@mokins.com We hope you can join us. https://sites.google.com/site/headlandsad venturecentre/ INSIDE OUT On Thursday mornings a small group of Christians from the Woodley Churches take the smaller JAC van into Woodley precinct and serve tea and coffee to passers-by. This provides a community service and also gives opportunities to chat to people and listen to their worries. To assist JAC and Inside Out, we need a safe parking place in central Woodley for the van from Wednesday evening to Thursday afternoon. This could be on someone s drive or another safe place where the van will be secure. Please contact John Saunders (934-4536) or Sam Milligan (JAC) if you can help support this ministry. Thank you. CHURCH WEEKEND AWAY There are still spaces if anyone wishes to join the Church Weekend Away in September. Booking forms can be picked up from the little table in the foyer. OUR SISTER CHURCH IN ROMANIA Cristi and Oana would like to thank everyone at Woodley Baptist Church, who has supported them in prayer during Luca s fight against epilepsy. They are pleased to let you know that the last scan was clear and there have been no more fits or absences following his operation. Please pray: for Cristi as he seeks to pastor the church and encourage them to grow in their discipleship and to reach out to those around them with the good news of Jesus for Oana as she seeks to juggle a full work life with being a wife and mother. Pray for her as she leads the women s Bible study and prayer group and mentors some of the older teenage girls. for Luca and Sara that they will continue to enjoy good health and will grow in their understanding of Jesus. Please pray too: for Dana, the Kindergarten manager, as she helps 18 children aged between 3 and 6 to develop their gifts and abilities and as she prepares them for school that the Bible stories the children hear and the love they experience at the Kindergarten will help them find Jesus.
