Isiah Bernard Coles Minister Isiah (Ike) Bernard Coles has served God as a member of the Mt. Calvary Baptist Church for more than 20 years, first as a Deacon and currently on the Ministerial Staff (since 2007) when God called him to a greater role and service in the ministry. In his ministerial staff position, he has supported and led a number of ministries in the church starting with the Worship, Prison, Evangelism, Wednesday Night Teaching and Preaching, and Men s Ministries. Minister Coles has a passion for Community Outreach where he spends most of his time and effort supporting the Prison and Evangelism ministries. In the prison ministry, he conducts quarterly services and heads projects to feed and support needy families of prison inmates during Thanksgiving and the Christmas holidays. His church experience includes many years serving God at other churches including a member of Board of Trustees (Court Street Baptist Church, Lynchburg, Va.), and Board of Deacons (First Baptist Church, Harrisonburg, VA). Outside of the church, Minister Coles has a professional career that includes Management, Technical Sales and Consulting, Technical Teaching and Training for a number of industries and services. In those jobs he earned a number of company President Awards for outstanding service and technical certification. Minister Coles educational background includes Certificates and degrees: from Bluefield State College and University (BS), Washington Bible College(Certificate), Lynchburg College (MBA) and Liberty Baptist University and Seminary (MA Degree Evangelism and Church Planting). Minister Coles next step in church life has been prepared by God, giving him a measure of Faith that has grown over many years of dedicated service, education and training. He feels the preached Word of God is the light that will remove all darkness in your life, and this was confirmed through Holy Scripture he received in a dream, the Gospel of John 1:1-5 (KJV) which says In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 The same was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made by him; and without him was not anything made that was made. 4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men. 5 And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not. He is motivated continuously by his favorite song, Amazing Grace, a song of God s Grace through redemption in His Son Jesus Christ to keep him grounded in the knowledge and understanding that it is God s grace, amazing grace that brought him to this point in his life. It will be God s grace that fortifies and builds his ministry to fulfil God s purpose in his life. He is joined in this next stage of his life s journey with his wife, Connie, two children Isiah (Ike, Jr.), Tiffany and grandson Isiah III. Please join Ike as he walks by faith through this next stage on his life s journey. To God be the glory for the things he has done!
Aaron Lavalle Howard Minister Aaron Howard was born in Washington DC, November 18, 1957, the second child of four born to Kathleen V. Howard. At the age of two Aaron s family moved to Rockville, MD, from Washington DC. Aaron attended Montgomery Co. Public Schools, graduating from Rockville High School in 1976. After graduation, Aaron immediately began working for the Montgomery County Public school system as a building service worker. During his 22 year tenure, Aaron worked his way into management. Minister Aaron married his wife of 33 years, Olethia, in September 1983. Aaron and his wife were blessed with two daughters, Stasha L. and Kaley E. Howard. During those earlier years, Aaron battled with substance abuse, which had control of his life. Aaron lost the respect of his mother and family members. After the death of Aaron s daughter, Stasha, Aaron joined the Round Oak Missionary Baptist Church in Silver Spring, MD under the leadership of Rev. Lionel P. Pointer Jr. in 1998, after which, he volunteered to enroll in a Christian drug treatment program in Johnstown PA-Peniel. Peniel was founded by Dr. Marion Spellman and this is where Aaron met God face to face. Aaron, while under the ministry of Bishop Harold Spellman, acknowledged his call to ministry in November, 1999. God gave Aaron his assignments: it was to go to school and get your degree. Then you are to pastor, preach and teach, and to be a witness for God. Aaron returned to Round Oak Missionary Baptist Church, was appointed to be a Deacon, and served for a brief time. After serving on the Deacon board, Aaron preached his trial sermon entitled: Fighting the Good Fight of Faith on September 17, 2006. Minister Howard attended Washington Baptist Theological Seminary in 2004-2008, where he earned a Bachelor of Theology. Aaron, then enrolled at Virginia Union School of Theology in 2008-2011, where he earned a Master's of Divinity. God wasn t finished equipping Aaron for ministry. God sent Aaron to Wesley Theological Seminary in 2011 - he will earn a Doctorate of Ministry in 2017. Aaron believed if God can take a substance abuser from addiction to Doctorate, he can change anyone s situation. God will get the glory out of Aaron s life. I CAN DO ALL THINGS THROUGH CHRIST WHO STRENGTHEN ME. Minister Howard s favorite scripture is, 2 Timothy 2:15, Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

God Ordained Trials Learn from Apostle Paul s and Job s life lessons, for faith s gold will be tested and purified; tribulations are faced by God s daughters and sons, but only through Christ - can one be justified. The troubles of the day will eventually find us; but will you be prepared by the principles of Love? Remember the divine words of the Lord Christ Jesus and draw strength from His righteous Kingdom above. The rain falls on both the Just and Unjust; so you might as well expect to get wet; develop an atmosphere of faith and in Him trust; live your life transparently without regrets. So open your spiritual eyes and plan ahead; develop a Godly relationship that s versatile, knowing your faith will be surely tested with the experiences of God ordained trials. By Joseph J.
