You may give your pledge/or an over and above offering. All gifts given will go exclusively to our Building Fund. Cedar Grove Area Food Pantry update - Thanks to many generous donations, 29 families were served in August! The pantry will be open again on Thursday, September 11th from 4:30 to 6:30 PM at Faith Reformed Church. If you know of anyone who could benefit from the food pantry, please let them know about it. If anyone is interested in donating, right now we are low on cereal, pasta sauce, and paper products. (Please check the expiration dates on the food you donate.) Also, if you have any extra Bibles you could donate, it would be greatly appreciated, as most of our supply has been taken. *Note that the location of the donation bins has been moved to the drawers under the mailboxes.* Thank you! Please pray for Mary, who has heart problems and is struggling financially. Also, pray for Amber and her fiancé, who need jobs. Please put your items in the church kitchen on Friday, September 5 th or Saturday, September 6 th before 9:00 a.m. Thank you for your donations! Your Pine Haven Delegates Connie Debbink & Shirley Wieberdink New Approach to Choir - Our church choir is taking a new approach to the coming year. Their song selections will be hymns. The benefits: 1) We can celebrate the rich theological and musical heritage of church hymns; 2) With easier songs to sing, we hope more people will be comfortable joining the choir; 3) We will reduce the number of practices to once a month; 4) Directing will be less time-consuming, making it easier for a new director (please consider volunteering), or for the choir to continue without a director. The choir will sing on the first and second Sundays of the month starting in October. Practice meetings will be on the last Monday of the month, starting September 29. Please join the fun and praise of our music ministry! Biography Celebration We will be gathering Wednesday, September 3 at 6:00pm to share our summer reading biographies with one another. Whether you read a biography this summer or not, plan on being there to be encouraged and to encourage one another with stories of God at work through His people. Bring a main dish, and either a salad or dessert, to pass. Place settings and beverages will be provided. Please sign up at the Information Center.
