FOURTH SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME Dear Brothers and Sisters of St. Joseph Parish, May the Lord give us His peace. Allow me this moment to share with you some important news affecting our parish and collaborative. After fourteen years of service to the parish as Office Manager, with much prayer and discernment, Denise Patts has decided to conclude her time of service. Denise is a faith-filled woman of God, who has worked diligently, competently, and lovingly to serve our parish and collaborative. She will be greatly missed by all. We will have a special time to thank Denise in the near future. Please join me in this prayer: Lord Jesus, thank you for the gift that Denise has been to the parishioners of St. Joseph over these past fourteen years. She has been there for us, in the good times and the difficult times. With a servant s heart, she has joyfully cared for the people and needs of our community. FEBRUARY 3, 2019 Thinking About Becoming Catholic? Do you know of anyone, maybe yourself, who may be interested in becoming a Catholic? The Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA) is designed for non-catholics who may be interested in learning more about the Catholic faith and perhaps becoming a Catholic, by preparing for and receiving the Sacraments of Initiation: Baptism, Confirmation and Eucharist. Adults who were baptized as Roman Catholics, but did not receive further catechetical formation, and consequently did not receive the Sacraments of Confirmation and Holy Eucharist are also candidates for this program. For more information, contact Fr. Matt at the rectory. Now more than ever, our priests, seminarians and those contemplating the call to serve Our Lord need our prayers. Here a St Joseph Parish we have a way for you to do your part to support these men who have proven to be our good shepherds and those in training or contemplating the call to be a good shepherd. The vocation crucifix is available to be signed out by individuals or families for one week. Take it home and pray the vocation prayer daily. The sign up sheet is in the entrance of the church. The process is easy. Choose your week, sign the sheet. When your week arrives pick up the crucifix in the sacristy when you come to mass. Please return the crucifix to the sacristy before the 4 pm mass on Saturday so it will be available for the next person. Such support allows us to continue to serve our neighbors in need. HOURS: The pantry is open on Wednesday evenings from 6:30 7:30PM for our neighbors in need (located in rectory conference room).
