Pep Rally & Spirit Jeans Day Tomorrow (9/13/18), honoring 5 th & 6 th grade athletes 5 th & 6 th grade athletes should wear their SLS fall sports jerseys Rules for Jeans Days and Spirit Jeans Days Students may wear jeans or khakis (nothing too tight; no leggings) No torn, ripped or frayed jeans (no skin showing through) Girls may wear capri pants if they are at least mid-calf length K-8 th grade may not wear shorts on any jeans days On spirit jeans days, students must wear a St. Louis spirit shirt OR a red, white, black, or gray shirt (field day shirts from previous years are fine) No backless, strapless or sleeveless tops Flip-flop shoes are not permitted SLS athletic uniform jerseys may be worn for pep rally or spirit days If the jersey is sleeveless a t-shirt must be worn under it We announce jeans days and spirit jeans days during morning announcements. Students who do not participate in the out of uniform day will be expected to have their complete school uniform on throughout the school day. PE shirts can be worn with jeans, but PE shorts must be worn with the PE shirt.
SLS Home & School Fall Fundraiser Parents, This is a friendly reminder that Fall Fundraiser packets are due this Friday, September 14. You can conveniently share with friends & family ONLINE at www.charlestonwrapstore.com (school code: z-11620). If purchasing goods is not your thing, we will gladly accept monetary donations. Remember, if you have more than one child that received a packet, orders can be combined on one order form and our committee will make sure all children receive their incentive prizes! The cost to participate in Crazy for our Country Day is $1.00. Please turn in your money to your homeroom teacher. Proceeds will go to the Memphis VA Medical Center. You must wear patriotic attire, or wear your school uniform. Show your patriotic spirit by dressing as crazy as you can, but please follow these rules: 1. No shower styled shoes or flip flops. 2. No clothes that are ripped, torn, or frayed. Students may not wear mesh shirts or shirts that have holes. 3. No shorts of any kind. 4. No backless, strapless, or halter style tops.
