in all the wonderful memories of Ian. He was honestly one of the best people I knew and think of him as a little brother. Peggy and I miss him so much and wish his jokes and laughter were still in our home. You all should know that he spoke of each one of you often and how much he loved you all. His heart was so big and anyone that knew him knew what a true friend he was. Peggy and I will always keep pictures of him up in our home and keep all the wonderful memories alive. Peggy wants me to say that she loves her uncle Ian and hopes he catches her hugs in heaven. We love you all. CRISTIN JOHNSON, FEBRUARY 8, 2018 When I think about my time at Smith Elementary, Ian is one of the faces I always remember. I adored him when I was a little girl and was very close with him in my early elementary years. Although I moved in middle school and didn t see many frisco friends any longer, Ian managed to stick with me in my memories. I am devastated by this news, and am thinking of you all who are hurt by this. I m glad I have the memories I do of him and will continue to hold them close. COLLEEN BRIGGS, JANUARY 13, 2018 May time ease your sorrow a day God heal your pain. Deepest sympathy to you and your family Much Love, Sandi Curran "I'll lend you for a while a child of mine," He said. "For you to love the while he lives and mourn for when he's dead. It may be six or seven years, or twenty-two or three, But will you, till I call him back, take care of him for me? He'll bring his charms to gladden you, and should his stay be brief, You'll have his lovely memories as solace for your grief." "I cannot promise he will stay; since all from earth return, But there are lessons taught down there I want this child to learn. I've looked the wide
world over in My search for teachers true And from the throngs that crowd life's lanes I have chosen you. Now will you give him all your love, not think the labor vain, Nor hate Me when I come to call to take him back again?" "I fancied that I heard them say, "Dear Lord, Thy will be done! For all the joy Thy child shall bring, the risk of grief we run. We'll shelter him with tenderness, we'll love him while we may, And for the happiness we've known, forever grateful stay; But should the angels call for him much sooner than we've planned, We'll brave the bitter grief that comes and try to understand!" SANDI CURRAN, JANUARY 13, 2018 Kyle, you and Ian are in our thoughts and prayers. I know that a thousand words can't bring him back or heal your pain in this time of loss. I thought of you and Ian last night while watching a movie with my son when I heard the following quote from a poem: "My candle burns at both ends; it will not last the night; but ah, my foes, and oh, my friends -- it gives a lovely light!" May you find comfort and hold close in your heart Ian's lovely light and may he rest in peace. RANDY JOHNSON, JANUARY 13, 2018 Words cannot describe how heartbroken I am at the news of one of my best friends passing. Ian knew me better than most, and we share countless memories together.
