Regarding The Lord s Supper Periodically it is wise to evaluate our worship practice. In the Divine Service, our Lord confronts our sin and comforts us with His forgiveness. Therefore, worship conveys holiness, blessing, relief and warmth. Any modification should be non-distracting and natural, moving us towards deeper reverence and careful practice. Our intent is not change for change sake, but fidelity to our Lord. To that end, a church elder will collect your individual communion cups before leaving the Lord s Table.
