HAPPY MOTHER S DAY! Pro-Life carnation sale This weekend after all Masses, we are selling Carnations which will benefit our local Pro-Life Chapter to help maintain its Pregnancy Center. MAY CROWNING Our parish is honoring our Blessed Mother in a special way by conducting our May Crowning this weekend at the 10:00AM Mass. FESTIVAL Our parish festival will be held on July 11, 12, and 13. As always, items such as paper plates, paper towels, napkins, large & small take-out containers, raffle prizes, bottles of spirit, & child game prizes are needed. Items can be brought to the parish office Monday-Friday from 8:30 to 4:00, or you can leave them on the enclosed back porch after hours. We also need able-bodied help to assist with setting up the grounds & taking down the stands. Workers will be there for guidance & work with the scheduled crew from 8AM-2:30PM. Coffee, snack, & lunch provided. For set-up info, call Kathy at 283-1677. KOUNTRY KITCHEN Buckets for the Kountry Kitchen stand will be available next weekend. Please take a bucket & fill it with non-perishable food or cleaning items. Return the filled buckets to the rectory before July 5th. You may also bring items to fill a bucket in a bag, if you do not take a bucket. St. Joseph Marello Triduum/Feast Day The Congregation of the Oblates of St. Joseph will celebrate the Feast of their founder, St. Joseph Marello, with a 3 day spiritual preparation from May 27-29. Mass will be held each evening at 7PM in the Oblates chapel, Route 315, Laflin. Novena prayers & blessing with St. Joseph Marello relic will conclude each Mass. The Feast of St. Joseph Marello will be celebrated on Thursday, May 30, with a Mass at 7PM concelebrated by the Oblate Fathers. An outdoor reception on the seminary grounds will follow the Mass. Congratulations to our Regional Youth & Adult Leaders for receiving the Top Fundraising award for the American cancer Society's most recent Relay for Life held @ Wilkes University. The Youth & Adult Leaders surpassed their goal and raised and contributed $5,248.00. 40 Youth & Adults from our Region participated in this incredible 18 hour walk to honor and remember Cancer Survivors and those that have lost the fight to Cancer. Also, we congratulate one of our very own Regional Youth Leaders, Sara Touey for receiving the second highest Individual fundraising @ $1,514.00. The celebration of the Sacrament is held after the 11:30 a.m. Mass on Sundays. Confirmation The Sacrament will be celebrated in 2014 by one of the Diocesan Bishops. Children must be consecutively registered in our Religious Education Program to be eligible to receive.
