1st Sunday Of Advent Look for the GIVING TREE in the lobby of the church this weekend. Please consider taking an ornament or two and return the gift (UNWRAPPED) listed on the ornament by the weekend of December 5/6. The gifts will be taken to Circle of Concern for their Christmas gift program for their families. Circle of Concern is located in Valley Park. It is a food pantry and provides assistance to families in the area. The Christmas gift program provides toys and gifts to approximately 300 children up to age 16. This includes age-appropriate gifts, toys, hats and gloves, socks, etc. Teens are always harder to buy for, so gift cards are another option. There will be envelopes on the tree for gift cards and cash donations. Some suggestions for gift cards are Sports Authority, Old Navy, Target, Marshalls, Dicks Sporting Goods, TJ Maxx, and Walmart. They ask you limit the gift cards to less than $25. Don t forget to purchase the gift cards through our SCRIP program! If you have never shopped at the store Five Below, it is a great place to buy fun things! Everything there is $5 or less! If you have children or grandchildren, just think what they might like for Christmas and buy an extra one for the giving tree! Blankets, afghans and fleece throws are also needed for distribution during the winter months. Thanks in advance for your participation in this fun and easy holiday charity event! Remember: Gifts are to be returned UNWRAPPED by the weekend of December 5/6. Donations of wrapping paper will also be accepted. Cash donations and gift cards are a good choice. Return the envelopes in the collection basket or drop off at the parish office. Questions about the Giving Tree, please call Jan Krumm at 821-0899. If you know of anyone in our parish who may need help this year providing gifts for their family, please contact our St. Vincent DePaul Society or the parish office. For more information about Circle of Concern, please go to their website at www.circleofconcern.org. or www.stelizabethhungary.org which will link you to their website.

News Around Town During the month of November, St. Elizabeth will be collecting canned goods to be distributed to Feed My People. This is a good way to help those who are hungry and to give thanks to God for all of the blessings that we have received. A container will be located at the entrance of the church by the double doors. Our Lord loves a generous giver. Adult Christmas Luncheon Come, kick off the holiday season with friends at the Bartolino's South lunch buffet on Thursday, December 3, 11:30 am. All adults of the parish are invited for the luncheon buffet (salad, roasted pork loin marsala, chicken spedini, cavatelli alfredo, baked ravioli, relish tray, and spumoni), cash bar, entertainment by "Elizabeth", and attendance prizes. Cost for members of Social Club, $16, for non- members, $22. For more information call Mary Lou Parsons at 849-1203. Christmas cards will be on sale after all masses starting this weekend. The cards depict the Birth of Christ, which is the true meaning of Christmas. Keep this Holiday sacred by sending the message that Our Savior is Born! Proceeds benefit Missouri Right to Life. Remember our Outreach this year is Room at the Inn. Bring your items (underwear for men, women, teens, and children or socks) to be collected at luncheon. COME PRAY WITH US! On Saturday, December 12, 2015, at 9 AM we will be cleaning the church for Christmas. Anyone who is interested can come and clean the Lord s House. Bring your buckets and cloths if you have them. Many hands make light work. Thanks Barb Zander 26th ANNUAL NIGHT OF PRAYER FOR LIFE. 9 pm until Midnight. TUESDAY, DECEMBER 8th. Adoration at St. Elizabeth's Church.
