The lectures cover the major literary corpora of the period including Hellenistic Jewish literature, the Dead Sea Scrolls, the Pseudepigrapha, Talmud and Midrash. Each lecture offers an overview at one of these groups of works by providing information on the literary, historical and intellectual background, as well as through analyses of a representative sample of sources.
