From the Transition Team As a follow-up to the History-taking, Canon Lucinda will be with us on Sunday, October 7, for an all-parish meeting. The topic will be: We Don t Walk on Water: how to trust and appreciate healthy, strong, human leaders. With Canon Lucinda -- and based in part on the carefully researched history by Elise Barker, we will explore some of the story that is unique to Trinity, and discuss how clergy and lay leadership have strengthened and evolved in the larger church and at Trinity in the past forty years. Canon Lucinda invites us to a deeper conversation, with opportunities to reflect on the past and envision our future. Please plan to attend! 1 Sterling Ritcheson 2 Bob Mills 3 Amber Creason Judy Stewart 5 Victoria Hadley 7 Isaiah Leonard Justin Venemon 11 John Specht 16 Jennifer Evans Frank Rosa 18 Kristen Johnson Barbara Leese 19 Nancy Patrick 20 Chris Cole Clegg 21 John Gregory 3 Kristen Johnson and Steve Wilding ECW (Episcopal Church Women) held a potluck luncheon on Saturday, August 11, to honor our college bound students. $250 scholarships were awarded to Aspen Eckert and McKenna Ritcheson. Each of our scholarship recipients are active members of Trinity and have helped with the children of the church through nursery and Sunday school. The next meeting for ECW will be held on Saturday, September 15, at 10:00 AM in the parish hall. We will select new secret sisters and plan our activities for the 2018-2019 year. If any woman from Trinity would like a secret sister but will not be at the meeting on September 15, please let Rita Haggardt know. She will put your name in the drawing and let you know who was chosen to be your new secret sister. All women of the church, age 16 and older, are members of ECW and welcome to participate in all our meetings and activities. If you know of a birthday or anniversary that is not listed or is incorrect, please contact the church office at 233-2640. We don t want to miss anyone. Trinity Transition Prayer Oh God, you know us better than we know ourselves. Guide us throughout our time of transition as together we wander in the wilderness. Empower each one of us to use our unique gifts in ministry, to share openly and honestly our thoughts, to respect the opinions of others, and to encourage humility, patience and joy. Instill in us a vision of our church family; that, guided by your Holy Spirit, we will be united in love and joyfully work together to find appropriate clergy leadership for Trinity. All this we pray, empowered by your love - Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Amen.
