December, 2014 The Mission West of Africa & Ethiopia 19th to 31st December, 2014
LIFE TABERNACLE MISSION, OSOGBO, NIGERIA TESTIMONY: Pastor of this church is Bro. Olusola Timehin who believed the Message in the 1980 s. He has believed and preached the Message ever since. His church is one of the first in Osogbo area over 300 kms from Lagos the former capita of Nigeria. I ministered at this church on Sunday morning just before the convention.
MEETINGS AT CONVENTION IN OSOGBO,NIGERIA I invited my friend & Brother Isaac Njeru from Nairobi, Kenya who came and was part of these meetings with us. Other ministers came from Lagos, Ibadan, and other neigbhouring states from Osogbo. Most of these have enjoyed many years feasting on this food for the bride. Convention/congregation photos Had five (5) services which i shared with Bro. Isaac and the power of God was evidenced in the congregation as he filled his children with the Holyghost and delivered several. It is quite a memorable time and we can surely say, the time and resources was well spent... Nigeria has many states which at least a King in each state. One of the Kings came with his wife and he was glad to have an interview of him. According to his testimony, he believed the Message before he became King in early 80 s to date. One would view him dance with his wife and chief in the congregation. 1 Truly this Message is a message of humility, God s humility in the flesh of Jesus was enough even to humble down the Kings of the world. 1 Photo of King dancing +wife is the first one on this page left. MEETINGS AT CONVENTION IN OSOGBO,NIGERIA cont d YOUTH FORUM Young people usually have many questions that they need help on about the challenges in life. We had a wonderful time as young people would ask questions directly or by writing; i would then by the help of the Holy spirit of God get down into the Revealed word to provide the answers to the questions. We had a wonderful life changing session with the young people as i was also previledged to share my personal testimony with them being young as they were. On the close of this session, God moved and this continued for almost the next 1 hour as i watched God do his works. While some young men approched me for prayer, the Holy spirit moved on my heart for others and i was able to know what they were going through and by that, i would know how to direct my prayers for them. During this time, i also did some counselling for a few young people. You could not stop sensing the spirit of God in that quiet environment of the isolated camp grounds. This was the last activity i was meant to do at camp, the burden of my heart was surely lifted.
MISSION TO LOME, TOGO THROUGH BENIN REPUBLIC In 2009, Bro. Gbadoku Pastor in Lome, Togo visited us in Uganda and since we have been friends. He is an elder and relocated from Ghana to Togo where he now has and is overseeing a church there. When Bro. Gbadoku learnt of my coming to West Africa, he right away invited me to his church in Togo. Brother Mukoro a pastor from Delta state in Nigeria went along with me to Togo by rented car through Benin. At this time, his church was participating in a convention another church was hosting for Bro. Roger Collins from USA. He ministered in the morning and i spoke after him. It was a surprised that Bro. Collins spoke on Christ not knowing i would be Speaking on Christ in you in Sunday the afternoon service at Bro John Gbadoku s church. On the Left is Me, Pastor Mukoro, Nigeria and Pastor Gbadoku, Togo.
At Pastor John Gbadoku s Church... Cont d from pg 5 I ministered on Christ in You (Colossians 1:26) and God was present in the meeting. About 100 believers came on the alter to be prayed for, you can never know what God does. If travelling a days journey from Lagos, Nigeria to Lome, Togo meant was for one sinner to repent, one soul to be filled with the Life of Christ, I should then say without a doubt, MISSION WAS AC- COMPLISHED. Due to my Limited time as my flight back to East Africa was fast approaching, i had to go through the bad road again to Nigeria on Monday morning. By God s grace, we arrived in Lagos, Nigeria in good shape but very tired. Our dear brother Ajibade a Pastor in Lagos (he attended meetings in Osogbo) was ready to pick us up and host us for the night. In the morning, i met Pastor Moses Alu of the Bride Assembly for a brief session with him before i took my flight to Ethiopia. L-R: 3rd Pastor Alu, me and last Bro Ajibade with Pstr Alu s associate ministers.
LAYOVER/overnight service IN ADDIS ABABA, ETHIOPIA While i was on the trip in West Africa, my co-worker Bro Paul Mburu of Nairobi, Kenya was in Ethiopia...meeting with the saints, as well reaching out to new souls. #3 more souls were baptised by his hand; Praise the Lord. It was on my flight schedule that i was to have a layover in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia but somehow this skipped my mind and i got to know it only at the airport in Lagos. Without wasting any time, i contacted some believers who i was able to get to quickly and they told me that they would come and meet me when i arrive in Addis. By the time i got to the exit of the airport, the first people i saw were the believers before i could even sight any hotel staff where i was to spend the night on hold for the flight to Entebbe, Uganda. What was supposed to be a Layover became a overnight service with the Brother and sister that turned up. They couldn t let me sleep as they needed the WORD & fellowship. You can imagine what the night s menu was:... testimonies, sharing the Word, singing, praying etc etc. We broke off at around 5pm and i took 1 hr nap before i could raise up again for the flight home. I assured the believers in Ethiopia that i would come and join them soon with my family. This Saturday 17th, Bro. Moges (left) is going to be in Uganda as he being is grounded in the Word further.
I would like to appreciate those that supported us on these recent trips. God richly bless you and reward you. Through your giving, lives were touched, souls reached. Pray for my family as we will be moving to Ethiopia for a season.
