Hello Everyone! The Leadership Board would like to inform you that a Search Committee has been organized to seek out a new Lead Pastor. The Committee consists of one representative from each of our Boards as well as members representing the congregation. The initial steps will be for the Committee to establish a job description that best focuses on finding a candidate in line with our Vision and Mission and a calling for our Church and Community. This will involve engagement with staff and members of the congregation as well as consultation with the Canadian Baptists of Western Canada (CBWC). We request your continued prayers for staff and the Search Committee for God s wisdom and discernment. Thank you, Leadership Board The Search Committee members are: Kayt Mahon (Leadership Board) Wes Burdick (Deacons Board) Toni Selles (Missions Board) Tom Leckie (Finance Board) Stephanie Riemer Caroline Isaak Maged Said Rod Conrad Owen Walker

Our New C&F Director Bree Young has been appointed as our new C&F Director. She has been a valuable part of our C&F team for the last year and a half and was the interim director of the ministry as Tammy Van Delft was sidelined with illness. Bree is ideally suited for this role as she passionately pursues our vision and embraces our Faith At Home initiatives for children and families. The Leadership Board, Deacons Board and Staff Team are completely supportive of this appointment. The.75 FTE appointment begins immediately and we are very excited that Bree has agreed to take on this ministry role. Please be in prayer for her and consider volunteering to bless this rapidly growing ministry. Granfondo Next Sunday, July 9, 2,600 bicyclists from 10 countries will be riding along Victoria Road beside the church between 7:30 and 9:30 am. Please use extra caution crossing the street, yield to bicycle traffic and watch for riders and spectators. Thank you!

Please join us for Pastor Larry s final four messages here at SBC July 9-30.

Free Fall for Africa! On July 8th, Anne Foster, her daughter, her granddaughter and Pastor Del will be jumping out of an airplane to raise funds for classroom equipment and school supplies for a school nearing completion in Tanzania that will eventually accommodate 500 students. The jumpers are gathering pledges for every second of free fall during their adventure. They are jumping in support of Hope for the Nations, who will be helping to coordinate the jump with Okanagan Skydive. Proceeds will help purchase desks, equipment, books and materials for the school. For more information or to learn how you can donate, please contact Pastor Del or visit: http://freefall.hopeforthenations.com.
