Worshipful Master s Message Brethren, Happy December!!!! This is among my most favorite times of the year. The cooling air, the holidays season all the calling cards of a new year about to start. These things are always refreshing to me. I would like to thank all of you for the help I have been given this year in the running of our Lodge. I am reminded of a saying I used last time I left the East, The Jewel of the Master is not the Square, it s a Boomerang. So let us all return to the Lodge for something, anything, but return. Someone needs your help, someone misses your laugh, someone enjoys the wildly unpredictable words that are alive in ritual, especially mine. If you will come out and share of yourself you will reward all those who need Light. Brethren that is what sharing light is, not drawn out words or tired banter, a joke shared among friends and brothers. Encouragement, most of all is what we need and have for each other. Please come impart yours, Thank you all. Billy Conover, Your Brother, not a title or position, Just Billy! It is what you read when you don't have to that determines what you will be when you can't help it. Your Help is Needed Lodge Maintenance Fund Update This past June, your officers, as well as your Lodge and Temple Trustees approved the creation of a Lodge Maintenance Fund. The purpose of this fund is to build up a reserve to provide for regular maintenance and repairs required to our building. For example, there are several projects which need immediate attention for which no funds have been budgeted. The exterior stairwells leading to our lower level are in serious need of some masonry work. Here, the block work is deteriorating and needs attention to preserve the integrity of the building. In addition, the men s restroom needs immediate attention and will require considerable funds to bring it up to an acceptable condition. Additionally, several brothers have mentioned the condition of the sign in front of our Mantua Masonic Temple. This is an issue that needs some attention and will require considerable funds. The sign is beyond repair and will need to be replaced. It is hoped that the brethren will make voluntary contributions to the Lodge Maintenance Fund on a regular basis. Checks payable to Mantua Lodge #95 F. & A.M. can be mailed to: Lodge Maintenance Fund, Mantua Masonic Temple, 45 Mantua Boulevard, Mantua, NJ, 08051-1448. Some brothers may opt to make automatic monthly payments to the fund. This is easily accomplished using your bank s bill pay system or PayPal from the Lodge s website (See link below). A small, regular contribution each month will go a long way in helping to bring our lodge back to the condition and standards we expect. Perhaps you will consider a making a regular, monthly contribution. All contributions will be acknowledged in the Trestle Board. We hope that every brother will do what he can to help support this effort, whether it is a one-time donation or a small, monthly contribution. Thank you for contributing to the Lodge Maintenance Fund this past month: DB Carl E. Fratz Eugene W Good William H Powell WB George M Somers, PM E Warren Nelson Donate via PayPal
