Copies of the new committees are available in the church office. Each committee needs to meet, select a chairman and rotation for their team and turn in the information to the church office prior to the November business meeting. The Nominating Committee will work to complete this task for any committees not doing so after the November meeting. The Women On Mission Day Group will have a guest speaker on Oct. 27 th. 10 am meeting, 11 am speaker with a luncheon at noon. Our guest will be Maria Lynn, women s Mission Involvement Leader for W.M.U. of Virginia. Maria will show and tell of our 5 years of ministry with Indians in South Dakota. Come and join us as we see how God has used WMU in this area. RSVP appreciated. Wednesday Dinner Oct 28th will be pizza, salad and cupcakes. Same as usual - $12 max per family. 5:15-6:15pm. October 31st for our annual Trunk-or-Treat! Each year continues to grow and we love giving families a safe and fun environment for trick or treating! Come join us and invite your friends. We'll have hotdogs, cupcakes, and LOTS of candy! The bounce houses will be up, hayrides, games, and music! You won't want to miss out! This wouldn't be possible without our awesome trunk decorators, cupcake makers, hot dog cookers, and parking attendants. Children of the World International Children s Choir in concert at Salem on December 10, 7:00 p.m. This choir, comprised of 14 orphaned and disadvantaged children from several different countries, is coming to praise the Lord and worship with us, and draw attention to the staggering impact that poverty, malnutrition, and dirty water have on millions of children around the world. These children have performed in such venues as Focus on the Family and Brooklyn Tabernacle, and they bring a compelling message of hope and opportunity, leaving an unforgettable impression with audiences across the country. You won t want to miss this exciting concert, so mark your calendars now! We are looking for host families to house the children overnight December 10-11. Hosts need to provide beds for two children and breakfast the morning after the concert. Please call the church office if you can help. A monthly book club is going on at Bowling Green Baptist!
