JOB OPENING Director of Children s Ministries In this full-time position, the director of children s ministries will provide leadership, vision, and support for the Christian faith formation of children from birth through fifth grade. The director will be responsible for designing and implementing educational programs for Sunday morning, midweek ministry, and special events. Serving, Giving, and Growing YOUTH MISSIONS OFFERING The special offering today will support youth missions. Each year, students in grades 6-12 participate in local, national, and/or international mission and service work. Your support enables them to serve others, near and far. Thank you! BACCALAUREATE SUNDAY On Sunday, June 1, we will celebrate our high school graduates. Graduates and their families are invited to attend a breakfast at 8:30 am in the Parlor, followed by special recognition at the Crossroads worship service at 9:30 am. RSVP by May 25: TC Anderson, tcanderson@fpcah.org SUMMER SUPPERS FOR THE HUNGRY A New Community Partnership First Pres has signed on with 20 other local churches to provide Summer Suppers between May and September. First Pres will provide supper in Fellowship Hall on the first Monday of each summer month. Dinner will be served 6:30-8:00 pm. Can you help greet guests, set up, serve, and/or clean up? Can you donate food for these meals? Only three dates are still open to volunteer! Sign up now for July 7, August 4, and/or September 1. Individuals and groups are welcome! BALLROOM DANCING CLASS Ellen Brault (First Pres administrative assistant) is bringing ballroom dancing to First Pres! All ages, singles, couples, and even two left feet are welcome. Anyone can learn how to dance, and since there is no age requirement, and no partner or experience are required, here s your chance to step out onto the dance floor. The cost is $10 per person to learn ballroom dancing basics on Wednesday, May 28, 6:30-7:30 pm in the Gym. The note is posted on the Member News bulletin board near the elevator. We served 1,171 guests over 31 weeks, which averages out to 38 people per Tuesday. Thank you!
