END OF YEAR CONTRIBUTIONS: Federal law requires that all contributions to LUMC must be either in our hands by December 31st or, if mailed, post-marked on or before December 31st in order to qualify the giver for a tax deduction in 2016. Gifts received which don t meet these requirements will be gratefully accepted and credited to 2017. STEWARDSHIP MOMENT: We are blessed with many opportunities to help the ministries of our church with financial gifts. One way that is often overlooked but that is relatively simple and painless is a gift of appreciated stock. The process is a win-win for many because of possible tax treatment and other factors. (Consult your tax professional for advice, of course.) Please consider this opportunity. If you do intend to participate, contact the church office or a member of the finance team so the gift can be matched with the donor for pledge credit.
