END OF YEAR CONTRIBUTIONS: Federal law requires that all contributions to LUMC must be either in our hands by December 31st or, if mailed, post-marked on or before December 31st in order to qualify the giver for a tax deduction in 2016. Gifts received which don t meet these requirements will be gratefully accepted and credited to 2017. STEWARDSHIP MOMENT: We are blessed with many opportunities to help the ministries of our church with financial gifts. One way that is often overlooked but that is relatively simple and painless is a gift of appreciated stock. The process is a win-win for many because of possible tax treatment and other factors.
