The Sunday School Rally day was lots of fun as the children played games around Bible characters, and signed up for the coming Sunday school year. Our confirmation class is studying the Apostle s Creed this year, doing serving events, and spending time at Luther Park Bible Camp. The high school youth group is meeting for Bible study, serving events, and getting together for fun. Our Faith Child Care Center serves many families in our community proving quality faith based care for their precious children. The women gather to make quilts and various serving events throughout the year, as well as serving a hospitality meal for those who gather for a funeral when their loved one has died. Our monthly community suppers are fun gettogethers and a good way to invite friends and neighbors to gather with us. We worship regularly in the gospel of Jesus Christ our Lord, offer opportunities for Bible study, music, and more, and we reach out beyond our community out into the world through the ministry of our Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. Faith Lutheran is your church congregation and a special place in your life that God has called you to be involved in and to support with your time, talents and money. Your giving makes a difference in your life and in the life of many people who are served by Faith Lutheran. Sunday, October 26, is Commitment Sunday with a Celebration of Faith Lutheran Brunch following both the 8:30 and the 10:45 am. service. Pastor John Sutherland, Assistant to the Bishop of our NW Synod of Wisconsin, will be preaching at both services. Please plan to attend one of these services on October 26 and prayerfully consider growing in your financial support that we may continue to make a difference in each other s lives and in this community through the ministry of Faith Lutheran. See you in worship, Pastor Loren Growing Deeper Service Topics for October October 5 Growing Deeper in Being the Church October 12 Growing Deeper in Christian Community October 19 Growing Deeper in Giving October 26 Commitment Sunday with Pastor John Sutherland (Assistant to the Bishop) preaching.

FAITH LUTHERAN CHILD CARE CENTER Happy Fall! This is such a beautiful time of year with all the changes outside. There have been so many changes inside as well. We said goodbye to Miss Amber, our lead teacher. She took a position with the Barron school district in one of their Montessori classrooms. We wish her all the best and ask that God bless her on this new journey! The child care is happy to welcome Kasee Hickok as the new lead teacher. As the children headed back to school we said goodbye to some of them as well. Watching them get older and more mature is bittersweet. On the other hand, we have welcomed 8 new, and 4 returning children this fall. Thank you God for always providing for us. The outdoor learning environment (OLE) should be getting an upgrade here very soon! Watch for new equipment in the pea gravel area, and pavers to be installed under the pergola. If you have a chance, check out the beautiful bench so graciously made and given by Bill Knickerbocker! Thank you so much. And thank you Judy for helping deliver and install it! The child care had a new detergent delivery system installed on the dishwasher. We had it serviced and discovered that the previous one was not working properly. There is really no changes as to how anything works, it just makes a few different noises now. If anyone has any questions, please let me know. As always, I thank you all for your continued support and prayers! We are truly blessed to be here and performing God s work. I believe that with our hard work, prayers, and dedication to the field of early care and education Faith can only prosper. The Thrivent Choice charitable grant program lets eligible Thrivent members recommend where some of Thrivent s charitable dollars are distributed. So far this year, churches nationwide have received more than $23 million charitable grant funds as a result of the Thrivent Choice program. Simply Giving Your annual pledge helps us forecast, with confidence, the level of financial support our congregation will receive in the year ahead. It is through the pledges and contributions of our members that we are able to carry on our work here at Faith Lutheran Church. As you consider your pledge, we remind you that we offer Electronic Giving as a way to automate your offerings. It is convenient for you and provides much-needed consistency for our church. Collection baskets offerings fluctuate significantly from week to week but when contributions are automated, the church receives the funds it needs to operate on a steady, uninterrupted basis. We encourage you to complete a paper authorization form and return it to the church office. You can find the forms in the church entry.
