God is a Spirit and those who worship Him, must worship Him in Spirit and in Truth. John 4:24 WELCOME: We welcome all who sincerely worship here with us. On this Pentecost Sunday, may the Holy Spirit s power be active in your life to guide, cleanse, and comfort you, whatever your need is for today. Please join us after this morning s service for refreshments in the Fellowship Hall. We welcome Reverend Duane Tinklenberg to our pulpit today. Reverend Tinklenberg and his wife, Marilyn, are retired and living in Sioux Center, IA. He works part-time as the Pastor of Visitation for Bethel CRC in Sioux Center. The cookies this morning are provided by Bethany Christian Services. Bethany expresses their sincere thanks for your faithful support of their ministry to pregnant moms, vulnerable children, and families adopting. Children aged 3-5 meet your teachers in the Narthex during the offering this morning for Children s Church. ABOUT OUR MESSAGES In our morning service this week, we look at Mark 13:28-37. As we watch for signs that summer is coming, we as believers may look at the signs of the times as the birth pains of the coming kingdom of God. This evening, we will watch a visual parable in Hosea 3, which prompts the personal question, Can God really love me like this? PRAYERS AND PRAISES This past week, the body of our sister Harriet Meyerink was laid to rest here in Platte. In sorrow we extend our sympathies to the Meyerink family, and we pray that the God of all comfort and His resurrected Son would be our common refuge in this time.
Dear Family of Platte CRC, We wanted to thank you for the work that was done on the parsonage over the past few months. We are grateful for the people who volunteered their time to help out and for all who provided in any way.
