March 2015 Newsletter Hola beautiful souls It seems the newsletter is fashionably late again. Better late than never, I always say Our new Sunshine Academy website has been uploaded. Just a few more pages to be added and completed still, but almost there. Next I ll be working on the blog I ve promised a few of you, about life in Mexico and my daily ramblings and insights. To kick off the launch of our new look website, we are running a competition. There will be many more monthly competitions, where you don t have to do anything except enter. CANDLE COLOURS & USES For centuries candles of different colours have been burned to attract desired emotions, material wealth, or karma. Candles can be one of the most effective tools used for meditation, rituals and other ceremonies. The size of the candles you use is not important. It is the colour and its meaning that matters! Only fresh candles should be used. This avoids issues with candles that have picked up negative energies and vibrations interfering with the ritual or meditation and adversely affecting the outcome. Traditionally, candles should be lit with matches and should be snuffed out, not blown out. Meditate and establish a psychic link between the candle and yourself. Be specific in what you ask for and don't get greedy. Do not use candles to put negative energy onto others. Always be careful what you wish for, you might just get it. Below you will find a list of individual candle colours and the meanings and uses associated with that colour. Black: Used in rituals to induce a deep meditational state, to protect and/or to ward off negativity. Can be used to banish evil or negativity as in uncrossing rituals; attracts Saturn energy. Burning black with any other colour is said to dissolves all negative energies. Blue: The primary spiritual colour. It is used to obtain wisdom, harmony, inner light, or peace; confers truth and guidance. Other uses include healing, sleep, creativity, perception, calming wisdom, truth, loyalty, dreams, and the examination of emotions. Some say it represents the divine mother. Blue (Dark): Promotes laughter and joy as well as loyalty. Can be used to attract Jupiter energy, or whenever an influence needs to be increased. Confers wisdom and self-awareness. Can be calming and assist sleep. Also used to influence truth, dreams, emotions, and loyalty. Blue (Light): Another very spiritual colour: it is used to increase peace, tranquillity, patience, and calmness. It radiates Aquarian energy and can be used in devotional or inspirational meditations; employ where a situation must be synthesized. Blue (Royal): Mostly used to confer wisdom, protection, and good fortune. Increases spiritual awareness. Also increases communication, which can cause change. Can bring about a deep meditational state. Used in rituals that need increased Saturn energy. Brown: This is an earthy, well-balanced colour It is used for rituals of material increase. It is said to eliminate indecisiveness and improve powers of concentration, study, and/or telepathy. Said to increases financial success. Also represents the home. Some say those born under Capricorn will be more potent in their work using it. Gold: Fosters understanding and is said to bring about fast luck or money. Represents solar energy. It is used to heal all inner wounds, also to confer money smarts. Prosperity, wealth, money, attraction. Some also say it represents enlightenment, protection and the Divine Mother.
Green: Promotes prosperity, fertility, and success. Stimulates good luck, can increase money, harmony, and rejuvenation. Also represents Healing, health, and growth. Can be an important component in rituals involving Venus; attracts love, and social delights. Green (Dark): Colour of ambition, greed, and jealousy. Used to counteract these influences in a ritual. Also relates to personal goals. Grey: Useful when pondering complex issues. Can neutralize negative influences without repercussions. Represents balance, encourages stability, helps develop psychic abilities. In magic, this colour often sparks confusion; it also can negate or neutralize a negative influence. Indigo: This is the colour of inertia; stops situations or people; best used in rituals that require a deep meditational state. Also stimulates Saturnian energy. Magenta: This is a combination of red and violet that oscillates on a high frequency. It s used to energize rituals where immediate action and high levels of power or spiritual healing are required. Orange: Used as a balancing element. Promotes mental agility, energy, success and stamina. It s used to affect legal matters, success, action and promotion. Gives encouragement, adaptability and stimulation. Cleanses negative attitudes, situations and places. Peach: Promotes restoration and rejuvenation. Confers a softness and gentleness. Pink: Represents emotions from the heart and raises energies. This is the standard for all rituals that are used to draw love. Pink (Dark): Represents friends and family, and healing in the family. Promotes romance, and friendship, brings hope. Can promote restful sleep. Pink (Light): Represents devotion, love, tenderness and faith. Feminine energy. Purple: Is used to obtain desires, power and success. Can stimulate idealism and psychic manifestations and help make contact with the spiritual world. Increases enthusiasm, desire and power. Is also powerful for healing, and spiritual development. Some attempt to use it for power over others. Red: Represents physical pleasures. It can stimulate lust, courage, or strength against enemies. Can confer passion, love, and/or respect. Stimulates energy, health, fertility and will power. Draws Aries and Scorpio energy. Increases magnetism in rituals. Infers sex, vibrancy, and survival. Rose: Rose is great for treating heart ailments, anxiety, and depression. Good for people who suffer from nightmares. This graceful colour increases admiration, love, friendship, fidelity, and calmness. Can also arouse emotions. It stimulates compassion for self and others, higher mystical powers and humour. Silver: Encourages stability; helps develop psychic abilities; attracts the influence of the Mother Goddess. Also used to stimulate mental telepathy, clairvoyance, and intuition. Can be used for cancellations and neutrality. Stimulates psychometry, dreams, female power, and astral energies/projection. Turquoise: Is a colour that can be used for healing, prosperity, peace, growth, awareness, meditation, creativity, neutrality and cancellation. Often used to represent the Goddess.
White: This has the highest consciousness to protect, purify, and heal. Represents truth, unity, protection, peace, purification, happiness, and spirituality. Some say it can be used to replace any colour candle in rituals. Used for concentration rituals and meditation work. Lunar energy. Yellow: Represents attraction, charm, confidence and persuasion. Used to stimulate mental clarity, knowledge and concentration. Also used in healing. Like gold, it can serve for magic and rituals involving solar energies and deities associated with the sun. Stimulates logic, aids in overcoming mental blocks and promoting the self. ENERGY FORECAST BY EMMANUAL DAGHER Behind the Scenes - March 2015 We have so much to catch up on! How have you been feeling lately? There was a palpable shift that occurred after the 19 th of February that brought many of us an overall sense of peace, even though there were a few days in between that still had some residual effects of Mercury in retrograde. For those mindful that their reality is a direct result of their projected ideas/thoughts about it, those few days provided clear feedback as to what things we can continue to polish up, as we enter a gentler year ahead. The Equinox and the Total Solar Eclipse Beginning in early March, the energies start to build toward the equinox (spring for the Northern Hemisphere, autumn for the Southern Hemisphere). This occurs on Friday, March 20 at 6:45 PM EDT (10:45 PM GMT). To add to this already exciting time of transformation, we will also be experiencing a total solar eclipse on the same day as the equinox! So what does this mean for us? The equinox serves as a doorway between the spiritual and physical world, enabling a powerful renewal to occur. This renewal elevates our consciousness to be able to seed greater love and wisdom into the very real, present moment. It s Divine Alchemy in its full glory! The equinox is also a time when the creative gifts we ve been nurturing throughout the summer and winter months can fully be realized and expressed, to inspire the kind of world we d like to experience more of.
An equinox is an ideal time to:! Simplify our living space/environment, so that we are able to release many of the things we haven t been using. The general principle I follow is, if I haven t used it in the past year, it can now find a loving new home with someone who will truly benefit from receiving it.! Try something new that feels to be out of our comfort zone.! Switch up our routine every few days over the next few months, to keep ourselves open, fresh, and available to the opportunities presenting themselves to us.! Begin a new class or spiritual practice, to reconnect ourselves to our true nature of love.! Forgive any and all people, places, and experiences in our lives that still trigger us emotionally in any way.! Create a balance between our Divine Feminine aspect (our creative, nurturing, playful side) and Divine Masculine aspect (our passionate, action-oriented, motivated side).! Begin a new project or creative venture that feels more aligned with our heart s desires. If any of these suggestions feel expansive and joyous to you, know that it s a confirmation that it may be time for you to integrate them into your life, so that you can make room for the fresh new blessings that are aligned with your heart s desires. In addition to the equinox, we will also be gifted with a total solar eclipse on March 20. This will magnify the equinox energies, which can feel quite intense for those who are quite sensitive or emotional. To not be affected in a challenging way during this time, all which is required is that we be more mindful of our thoughts, words, and actions. This will allow us to be open and available to the powerful energies of the eclipse and equinox, and work with them in a much more productive way. It will also help us to dissolve any lingering residue of resentment or discord we may still be experiencing. During a total solar eclipse, meditating on the Sun strengthens our internal Sun (located in the solar plexus/stomach region), which represents our Divine power. This helps us to express ourselves more openly and freely, without holding back. It also helps us build confidence in ourselves, including our gifts, talents, and overall presence in this world. So it s safe to say that this month will be a time of great internal and external transformation that can be significantly pacified through mindfulness and spiritual practice. Behind the Scenes As we are all internally and externally shifting, there s even more magic going on behind the scenes. Have you had profound dreams lately? Are you remembering more and more of them? Are you feeling waves of energy move through you that sometimes feel like electric currents running through your body? Are you noticing more and more sparks (mini shooting stars) in your peripheral vision? Are you finding your appetite is fluctuating a bit more these days? What about feeling a bit more sensitive to the people and experiences around you?
Our Spirit is now fully focused on lifting the veils within our minds right now, so that we will be able to understand, digest, and integrate our True Self into the reality of every present moment. This is BIG! This is what IS anchoring a heaven on Earth type of collective reality. For millennia, the conscious mind has conditioned itself to operate and function mostly in linear time. Now, with the help of our Spirit, the Universe, and all the Beings of Love whom we each resonate with, the mind is being taught how to thrive outside of linear time, so we can be at our most powerful. What we are seeing in the world is the transition out of the fear that the mind created and got comfortable with, as a result of thinking it would lose its identity if it entered nonlinear time that it would no longer exist. However, our Spirit is showing our mind right at this very minute, that this belief could not be further from the truth of what s really happening. The mind is being shown how much more of its unique self it will get to experience when it is no longer confined by linear time, where it uses fear, lack, doubt, worry, confusion, guilt, shame, or judgment to cope with life s challenges. Our Spirit and the Universe are now opening the doors to ultimate freedom, where we are fully able to recognize our eternal, whole, and True Self once more. To speed this process along, all that s asked of us is to be willing to love and have compassion for our mind. The mind s only mission was to keep us safe the only way it knew how, and for that we are grateful. It s also important to make sure we are well hydrated, getting plenty of rest/sleep, continuing with the spiritual practices that help us live in the present moment, and putting nourishing, real foods into our body. This will support our Spirit with the blessings it is creating for us now.
