NEW START DATE...Starting Wednesday, January 17th MICAH Spring 2018 Session 1 Groups: GALATIANS: If someone asked you to explain the gospel, what would you say? What is the good news of the Christian faith? Writing to the Galatians, Paul made it clear how easily we can be tempted to turn toward fraudulent gospels, especially those that teach we can earn God s love through our works. Though they may have the appearance of truth, they are lifeless and leave us empty in the end. IF: If is a powerful little word. Some people are stuck in "if only," trudging through lives marked with regret. But God wants us to live lives marked with possibilities, with the "what if" attitude that looks forward to the future with confidence. Why? Because the answer to "If God is for us, who can be against us?" is "No one." God is always on our side. Every day, in every way. WHO WE BECOME: Have you ever thought about how we became who we are? Through study of scripture, self-reflection, and discussion we will investigate how we became, looking to some influences that were already in place when we arrived, and that we had no choice about. Because of these influences, and the choices that we made, we have become the people that we are.
