Quotes for Today Christ is not a reservoir but a spring. His life is continual, active and ever passing on with an outflow as necessary as its inflow. If we do not perpetually draw the fresh supply from the living Fountain, we shall either grow stagnant or empty. It is, therefore, not so much a perpetual fullness as a perpetual filling. - A. B. Suppose someone has a gym membership but goes for a workout only four times a year. - Physically, that doesn t do much good, does it? Another someone gorges himself on Monday and doesn t eat the rest of the week. - I believe we d call that stupid. A young lady is enrolled in a university but only attends class twice a semester. Doesn t do her brain much good, eh? And what about the person who connects with a church only a few times a year at best? Is it surprising to find him/her to be spiritually anemic? Steady input and regular intake are the essentials in any discipline, be it for mind, body, or soul. They say that American Christianity today is a mile wide and an inch deep. Would you agree? -- Ah, we can do better. I hope that you will connect with your Mount Hermon church friends regularly. Once in awhile won t do it. A steady diet of spiritual food is what we all need, but don t expect to be spoon-fed by me or anyone else. Mature believers are meant to feed themselves from God s Word and from
meaningful interaction with God in prayer and other Christians in fellowship. But it all starts with regularity in your personal involvement. See you Sunday.
