Highlights In the book of Ephesians the word church refers to the body of Christ. The mystery that Paul teaches in Ephesians is about the unity of the church. The body of Christ has a head which is Jesus. 4 P age o You can t go into your physical body and remove your spirit or soul, when Paul explains the word of God, being able to put us asunder, Hebrews 4:12, is a statement that these are in fact one. Therefore man is dichotomous, body and soul. Soul and spirit are mentioned interchangeably in the bible. In 1 Corinthians 5:8, the spirit has left, the spirit goes nowhere without the soul. When Christ died on the cross to save your soul, did the spirit get left? When you are born again you get changed spiritually. The spirit controls the body; the devil has no control unless we give ourselves to him.
Ephesians 4:24 and that you put on the new man which was created according to God, in true righteousness and holiness. o You can t put on Christ or the amour of God by yourself.
