Monday, March 25 Glorious Feast of our Blessed Lady Feast of the Annunciation. Celebrated on all Catholic Calendars This glorious mystery is all about the Heavenly Messenger Archangel Gabriel who brings an announcement from the Eternal Father to ask Mary the Virgin to conceive His Son the one Who is the promised Redeemer. The moment She said yes LET IT BE DONE TO ME ACCORDING TO THY WORD, the Holy Spirit of God over shadowed Her and the Second Person of the Blessed Trinity took on flesh in Her. This miraculous conception took place 9 months before the Glorious Birth of Jesus. Consider the true virtue of humility in this chosen handmaid of the Lord, as She considered Herself as the least worthy among the daughters of Zion. But the Lord God, the Creator of life chose Her to become the most blessed among women. This event is recorded for us in the Gospel of St. Luke chapter 2 vs. 26 and following. In our Maronite Tradition we also honor this Feast on the 2 nd Sunday of the Announcement in preparation for Christmas. Happy Glorious Feast Day on March 25.
