(This is a time to prepare for worship. If you whisper, let it be into the ear of God.) GREETING The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Spirit be with you all. And also with you. Bob Frasier INTROIT Spirit of the Living God #288 CALL TO WORSHIP Charlie Smith Be still, and know that God is. Before creation began, God was. And when all human striving has ceased, God will still be. From everlasting to everlasting, God is God, who alone is worthy to be worshipped. Let us offer our prayers and praise to our God.

PRAYER OF THE DAY Jack Shetlar OPENING HYMN God Is Here! #409 CALL TO CONFESSION Becky Cram PRAYER OF CONFESSION Almighty God, By water and your Holy Spirit, you baptized us to be your own and called the church into being. We confess that we hold back the love of your Spirit among us. We do not listen for your word of grace, speak the good news of your love, or live as a people made one in Christ. Have mercy on us, O God. Transform our lives by the power of your Holy Spirit and make strong our common witness to the One Lord, our Savior, Jesus Christ. SILENT PRAYER KYRIE ELEISON O Lord, Have Mercy #578 ASSURANCE OF PARDON...Friends, hear and trust in the good news of the gospel. In Jesus Christ, we are forgiven, healed, and made whole! THE PEACE Let the Peace of Christ rule in your hearts. To this peace we were called as members of a single body. The peace of Christ be with you. And also with you. RESPONSE OF PRAISE Come Sing, O Church, in Joy! No. 305, v.1&3 Come sing, O church, in joy! Come join, O church, in song! For Christ the Lord has led us through the ages long! In bold accord, come celebrate the journey now and praise the Lord! Let courage be our friend; let wisdom be our guide, as we in mission magnify the Crucified! In bold accord, come celebrate the journey now and praise the Lord! PROCLAIMING GOD S WORD PRAYER FOR ILLUMINATION Cora White WELCOME THE CHILDREN This, this is where children belong, welcomed as part of the worshiping throng. RESPONDING TO GOD S WORD HYMN OF AFFIRMATION Open My Eyes, That I May See #451 OFFERING OF GIFTS Ken Jarvis OFFERTORY The offering supports candidates and inquirers with unmet financial needs under care of the Committee on Preparation for Ministry of the Presbytery of Northern Kansas. DOXOLOGY Praise God, from Whom All Blessings Flow #607 Praise God, from whom all blessings flow; praise Christ, all people here below; praise Holy Spirit evermore; praise Triune God, whom we adore. Amen. PRAYER OF DEDICATION SERVICE OF INSTALLATION LITANY OF GIFTS Molly Michaelis There are different gifts But it is the same Spirit who gives them. There are different ways of serving God But it is the same Lord who is served. God works through each person in a unique way, But it is the same God whose purposes are achieved through them all. Each one is given a gift by the Spirit To use it for the common good. Together we are the body of Christ And individually members of it. Though we have different gifts, together we are a ministry of reconciliation led by the risen Christ. We work and pray to make the church useful in the world, and we call women and men to faith, so that in the end, every knee shall bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God. Within our common ministry, some members are called for particular work as Teaching Elders. Here we recognize this special ministry, remembering that our Lord Jesus said: Whoever among you want to be great must become the servant of all, and who want to be first among you, must be the slave of all. Just as the Son of Man came not to be served, but to serve, and to give his life to set others free. STATEMENT ON THE MINISTRY OF THE CHURCH Bob Frasier...Today we reclaim our historic calling and remember the great ends of the church: The proclamation of the gospel for the salvation of humankind; the shelter, nurture, and spiritual fellowship of the children of God; the maintenance of divine worship; the preservation of the truth; the promotion of social righteousness; and the exhibition of the Kingdom of Heaven to the world. PRESENTATION OF THE CANDIDATE...through the voice of the church to serve as associate pastor of this congregation. We remember with joy our common calling to serve Christ, and we celebrate God s call to our sister, to serve among us as pastor.

In Worship Today... Communion is by intinction: Tear off a piece of bread and dip it into the cup. There will be four serving stations at the front of the sanctuary. After the choir is served, please come forward using the center aisle. The two outside cups, farthest from the center aisle, contain wine. The center two cups contain grape juice. Gluten-free bread is available at all stations in the red napkin. Go to the serving station of your choice, and return to your pew by the side aisles. Those in the balcony or side pews are asked to make their way to the center aisle as well. If you are unable to come forward, remain seated and you may be served in the pew. Thank You to Richard Koshgarian (FPC Director of Music), Angie Koshgarian (FPC Organist), the instrumentalists, and the FPC Adult Choir for leading music this afternoon. Thank You to the Congregational Care and Nurture Committee of First Presbyterian Salina for making arrangements for dinner, which follows worship this afternoon.
