Welcome, we are glad that you have chosen to worship with us today. We would like you to know that: Nursery services are available upon request. The nursery is located on the second floor. An asterisk (*) located before an event means that we invite you to rise in body or in spirit. You are invited to join us for refreshments in the lounge after the service. The pastor is available to meet with you to answer any questions or address any concerns about the church you might have, and for pastoral counseling or conversation, and visits. We hope to see you again! October 21, 2018 10:00 am

Words of Reflection "During the days of Jesus' life on earth, he offered up prayers and petitions with fervent cries and tears to the one who could save him from death, and he was heard because of his reverent submission. Son, though he was, he learned obedience from what he suffered and, once made perfect, he became the source of eternal salvation for all who obey him " Hebrews 5: 7-9 NIV Words of Welcome/Announcements: Prelude Pastor Heidi Reinker Organist/pianist Jeff Burke Call to Worship: Selected verses of Psalm 104 Leader: Praise the Lord, my soul. Lord my God, you are very great! People: You are clothed with splendor and majesty. Leader: How many are your works, Lord! In wisdom you made them all. People: The earth is full of your creatures, Lord. All: I will sing praise to my God as long as I live. Praise the Lord! *Opening Hymn "Amazing Grace" # 378 Opening Prayer: # 477- Open wide the window of our spirits, O Lord, and fill us full of light; open wide the door of our hearts, that we may receive and entertain thee with all our powers of adoration and love. Pastoral Prayer leading into the Lord s Prayer Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Closing Hymn Let There Be Peace on Earth # 431 Let there be peace on earth, and let it begin with me; Let there be peace on earth, the peace that was meant to be. With God our Creator, children all are we. Let us walk with each other in perfect harmony. Let peace begin with me; let this be the moment now. With every step I take, let this be my solemn vow: To take each moment and live each moment in peace eternally. Let there be peace on earth, and let it begin with me. *Postlude Everyone is invited to the fellowship hall for refreshments and a time of fellowship.
