On First Sunday of Advent, a new English translation of e Eucharist will be introduced in all English-speaking countries. The language of e Mass of e Roman Rite is Latin, however, e Second Vatican Council allowed local languages to be used. Thus e Mass was translated into many languages. The original Latin remains e same, but a new translation into English has been completed. The main reason for a new translation is at e current translation was done quickly. The international commission (ICEL) which did e translation recognized at it would have to revisit e translation later and refine it. The meod of translating it used is called dynamic equivalency. This translates e overall meaning wiout necessarily translating every wo or concept. However, is meod lost most of e scriptural references as well as e poetic richness of e Latin text.
